I haven't used the granular version of weed-and-feed but since I needed to cover a larger area than a couple hundred square feet, the liquid wasn't going to be enough. There have been some that haven't had much success, but for me it worked great. Very important to spread as directed on wet grass. Best right after a rain, but it cannot rain again within 24hrs or it washes off. First, I mowed the lawn short then over the next few days, allowed the weed leaves to outgrow the grass. IMHO, this way the grass wouldn't interfere with maximum granule spread over the wet leaves. Anyway, I did one coverage in the fall as the dandelions made their last ditch effort of the year to spread themselves, and once more in the spring as they grew back again. Massive difference. The only trouble spots are along the edges where the city replaced the sod and it didn't take very well after a hot summer. However, this grass has even made a huge recovery since last year. See the before and after pics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you're not killing clover your doing it wrong. I have used Scott's products for 15 years if you follow the directions on the bag it works great. If you apply it and you can't see it sticking to weed leaves you have done it wrong. This photo is taken 2 days after application.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weed Free Applied this a couple of weeks ago, after we had experienced 3 days in a row of heavy rain. I set our Scott's spreader to 6. That's heavier than the 4 recommended on the bag. The ground was still saturated and the grass was still very wet. As I walked along pushing the spreader, I could see the granules sticking to the wet grass and weeds. That was about 8am. The sun came out in the afternoon, and the lawn started to dry out. I could actually already see some of the weeds starting to slightly wilt! 2 days later, the big weeds we're severely wilted and the clover was brown.i mowed yesterday and it looks like the weeds are all gone now. Worked for me!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product really works! I cut the grass Mon. 4/22 and applied the Scott's the next day. It sat undisturbed all day Wednesday but Thursday and Friday it rained off and on. I was worried that it had gotten washed away and wouldn't work but Saturday, to my surprise, the clover started turning brown and the dandelions started shriveling up. I cut it again on Saturday just before it rained and my lawn looks great. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to reapply it simply because it rained right after I put it down and because it takes more than one time to get rid of clover. Over all I think this is a great product and especially if you use it according to directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is awesome, IF you follow directions Saw many complaints about this product NOT working, also saw where the Scott's rep said it was due to not following directions. Scott's rep is RIGHT! 1) You MUST wet the grass first. 2) No mowing for 2 days prior or 2 days after application. 3) No watering for at least 24 hours after application. If you do this, I PROMISE you will have thousands of dandelions writhing in death throes in less than 24 hours! I use a yard service. They mowed on Monday, came back on Sunday and applied product. I caught them early applying it to dry grass, stopped them and turned on sprinkler. He started where he left off. Only place it NOT work, is where he applied it to dry grass. Today(Monday) there are little white "crystals" clinging to grass and weeds. The dandelions are dying, hundreds of 'em(have no clover so not sure about that). I assure you, this new product will kill just as quick as the very good weed spray and way easier to use, since you do not have to be an excellent marksman, when you can broadcast it

As of last fall I moved into a larger home w under an acre of Bermuda. Now if u have a smaller yard around 5000 square feet don't use weed and feed I'd suggest a sprayer and 5-6 weeks later apply the regular turf builder in the summer and winter guard in the fall but since I have a larger yard I decided weed and feed granules, I purchased two 43lb bags for 0.81 acre of coverage, spreader setting 4 1/2, let it set in all night and added a little water the following morning, before a few April showers later on in the weekly forecast. It wasn't as a effective as the spraying which usually gets 98% of the weeds but this product still got 85% of the problem leaving a slight burn that I can live with and in the future I will continue another application in a few weeks... I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend to my neighbors. Jason San Antonio, Texas

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burned lawn. Three days ago I had a beautiful green and lush lawn that I work on very hard to keep looking that way. On Wednesday, I put Scotts Turf Builder weed and feed. I followed the directions perfectly. I actually read them twice to be sure I was following directions. Today, Friday April 19, 2019, I have a lawn that is turning brown and dying. I am beyond upset and frustrated!!! Never again will I use Scotts products. Can someone please give advice to rectify the situation?
