Packaging: Very Poor quality Styrofoam. Makes a mess, was broken inside box and it is not recylable.
Quality: It uses the typical threaded rod's to build up the longer poles. They use very good tolerance threaded inserts and screw together very strong and straight. The glass shades are just okay - 1 out of 4 has very uneven thickness.
Appearance: I think they tried to save money by using the same corner component on all four sides. This leads to screws being exposed underneath when looking up (see photo). Acceptable for most but some will not be happy with that.
Finish: The gray components are actually more like a hammertone or granite look. Feels durable but not what I expected from online photos.
Installation: Make sure you have someone with small hands to install the glass shades. It is very hard to install the retaining screw if you have larger hands.

The SEA GULL LIGHTING DUNNING 36 IN. W 4-LIGHT DRIFTWOOD GRAY LINEAR ISLAND CHANDELIER WITH CLEAR SEEDED GLASS SHADES AND DARK ZINC ACCENTS is a very nice light and should be used for a large area. It can be installed in different additional 12" lengths after the initial 18 inch is together. It can go from 18 two more 12" sections. It's relatively easy to install but I wouldn't suggest a one man install, although maybe a pro could do it. I recommend using the mounting plate that comes with the light especially if you are replacing and older light, they almost are never the same. (Tip for do-it-yourselfers) Just a little bit off can cause headaches in the installation. It's a little expensive but well made and durable. It's sort of minimalistic stylish, if you like that. It is suggested in the directions that you bend the final link in the chain to attach the length of rod, that's relatively easy but I believe you could also detach that connection (Unscrew it) from the canopy and it might be easier, your choice, that way you won't weaken the link. Just a thought and a little deviation from the actual instructions so be careful. See my last photo to see the final link with the canopy screw unscrewed.

Solid, well built chandelier. The driftwood frame looks like authentic wood, but the frame is actually made of steel. It is uniquely constructed, held onto the light bar by only two thumbscrews. Very easy to assemble because it minimizes the weight of the assembly as you mount the base plate to the ceiling box. The four shades have a rain drop effect that looks nice with the dark light bar and corner accents. The mounting plate above the base is designed with plenty of mounting positions to easily achieve the proper alignment of the chandelier.

Really like this light. Took a little bit to make the "cube" of the light fully squared but very happy with our purchase. The recommended 100 watt bulb is very bright and would recommend going with 60 watt.
