Hello Condor, unfortunately this doesn't feature a photocell. Check out the Sea Gull Yorktown for some options with photocells. You can also purchase a photocell that screws into the socket of any light fixture to convert an item to dusk to dawn.

The fixture is also offered without light bulbs as model # 8239-12. You would just substitute out the finish code "-12" with the respective finish code above for the model you're look for. My light did not have a separate base. The whole lamp assembly just sat on top of the post and the three screws aligned perfectly to hold it on.
