SeaSun's Premium Outdoor Sun Shades are the perfect solution for keeping you cool on your patio and in your home by filtering direct exposure to sun and UV. Heavy weight PVC fabric blinds move around less in the wind and wrinkle less than lower cost HDPE shades. With up to 90% UV block, these outdoor shades keep your space cool, while lowering your energy costs, reducing blinds glare and fading of furniture. The fabric rolls up using a motor/remote control operated system, into an aluminum protective cassette valance that includes our easy mount brackets. Mounting hardware (wall or ceiling mount), installation template, and cable tie down systems are included. The shades can be mounted on your porch, pergola, window, or any outdoor living space where you want to reduce heat and UV exposure.

A:  Yes, you may mount this on an aluminum pergola but you will need to purchase additional anchors/screws that are better suited to aluminum. The screws we provide are only meant for wood.

    A:  The 120" motorized shade weighs approximately 28lbs, you will want to mount the shade somewhere that can support the weight of the shade, preferably into a stud.

      A:  The Surfside shade must be connected to power in order to work. It does not have rechargeable batteries. The remote requires a battery.

        Everything was great! Price, delivery and packaging. I was worried it may have damage due to size but they used a service that was more specialized for the situation. The manufacturer was spot on, packaging and shade is working fine. I had an issue with setting stops and was able to talk with someone immediately to resolve problem.

        I bought four 120"x96" and two 96"x96" ($3700 purchase). These are pretty heavy (and long) shades...
        I bought four 120"x96" and two 96"x96" ($3700 purchase). These are pretty heavy (and long) shades so had to have help to put them on my back patio (up at 115" from the ground). Once installed I found out that the cable mechanism provided with the shades wont fit into the shade body. The holes/drills/tapping in them mismatch making all the supplied cables (to keep them from swapping around with wind) useless. It took us 3 hours somehow to put it but with no strength to tension. It adding to the installation cost with no gain. I reached to Home Depot and they told me to reach out to the manufacturer for resolution. The manufacturer now wants to send me the replacement cable and screw without resolving the issue which is in the shade body. It needs to get fixed by a professional who can tap the hole right and manufacturer is outright declining paying for couple of hours of professional help. Without the tiedowns these shades will not last a year as I had shades before which were damaged just by wind. I am disappointed with my $4200 (incl. installation) purchase and now I have to plan on how to take them down and return at local Home Depot. That's the risk I guess with an online purchase of large dimensions.

        It definitely takes the edge off. I do wish it did a bit more to block direct sun however. Overall, well-made and good product. Perhaps the darker colors do better to block out more sunlight…Not sure but I purchased the light colored beige/tan one.
