Will it work on verticlal surfaces?

I know it says horizontal surfaces, but I'm looking to also coat a 3 foot vertical surface. Is there a way to carefully do it with minimal rippling?
Asked by: Nate
To be clear, I am hoping to apply it to fish culture purposes. So appearance isn't as important as functionality. I'm looking for something that is both waterproof and non-toxic to our fish, and so far this epoxy seems to fit the bill minus the vertical surfaces. Given that appearance is not of great concern, would you still not recommend this product?

Is this a slippery surface, and if so, can a non slip additive be used?
Asked by: Manny
This can be a slippery surface and I recommend applying either the clear non-slip additive or the multi-colored sprinkles. I used the sprinkles and love the look. It is now perfectly safe when wet.

Repaint epoxy painted concrete???

Jim, our Seal-Krete Epoxy-Seal may be applied over sound previous coatings as long as the surface is primed first using our Seal-Krete Lock-Down Bonding Primer: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Seal-Krete-Lock-Down-1-gal-Epoxy-Bonding-Floor-Primer-106001/202563942

This product is terrible, I followed all the instructions perfectly and then waited a week before putting anything back into the garage. Two weeks after painting the floor it rained, the paint seems to absorb the moisture and then it just peels off. Do not waist your money like I have done on this worthless product. Sorry HOME DEPOT but you should pull this product from your shelf.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm having a problem with Seal-Krete peeling on the edges... I'm having a problem with Seal-Krete peeling on the edges of the lean-to portion of my new barn and on the drive up to the overhead door. I roughed up the trowel finish and acidified all the concrete. Would rain on the outside ( 2days after painting) cause these places to peel?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I hardly ever write a review, but i am so dissapointed in this product! I bought this for my shop... I hardly ever write a review, but i am so dissapointed in this product! I bought this for my shop floor I have a smooth finish floor so i bought the seal krete floor etcher and went over it twice to make sure it would stick. I rinsed it let it dry overnight with air movers. I then bought the lock down primer and put it on. I put the paint on within twelve hours of the primer. I put two coats of the epoxy seal paint waiting the required amount of time between coats. I then waited 48 hours before applying an acrylic two part sealer over the top. I waited 72 hours before going back to start using it. It looked great. When we started building some shelving i dropped a screwdriver on the floor. it made a chip in the floor. When i kind of scratched it with my finger you could scratch off the paint as far as you cared to. Now i have several large spots chipping. if you get a rock in your shoe or anything the paint just chips off We rolled a refrigerator across the floor and when we turned it the paint came off. This is supposed to be garage floor paint! Come on! I spent a whole week doing my 1700 square foot shop not to mention the $1000 dollars i spent. What a waste of time and money. Doesn't anyone make a decent quality product anymore!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome floor paint 5 gallon container of grey floor paint product #922. Product was used on a unfinished smooth finished basement floor. Concrete was cleaned (swept-vacuumed) and then sealed with recommended primer "Seal-Krete Lock-down Epoxy", allowed to dry 48 hours. I used a 18" 3/8" nap roller applicator with handle attachment for the first roll out. I used a 12" 3/8" nap roller applicator for the second coating. 5 gallons covered 2,450 square feet of floor for the two coatings. **I suggest that when applying the paint, you roll it out in a thin coating. Don't try to cover the floor in one application with a thicker coat** Proper application is where you will see some of the concrete floor in the first application showing through the paint. If you apply it thicker, it has a tendency to not adhere to the concrete properly and will lift or peel in spots. On the second coating, you will cover all the thin areas from the first coating and have a professional looking paint job. I was surprised that 5 gallons covered two coatings of 2,450 sq feet. Have the store shake the paint for you instead of stirring it yourself. Excellent product !!
