Customer Reviews

1/2 in. PEX Barb Brass Tee Fitting (10-Pack) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from PEX on brass fittings-- great stuff! We were remodeling kitchen and bath; also the existing plumbing was troubled. I ripped-out about all of it and did it up with SharkBite PEX tubing, fittings, and rings. I love PEX. Easy to cut and fit, low cost. For connecting to existing pipe, SharkBite slip-on fittings work very well. For PEX-PEX connections, they work fine and never give trouble but the cost adds up. For more than a few permanent PEX-PEX connections you want the PEX ring-crimper, the deburring tool, crimp-fittings and crimp-rings. The tools allow you to use these much lower cost crimp fittings. The fittings come in both plastic and brass. The plastic fittings generally work fine, but could be broken with excess abuse (I'm kinda abusive). The brass fittings won't fail until the PEX tubing fails (and it's awful tough). In a for-profit job the plastic is a clear winner. For my own home work, the brass fittings look and feel so much better that the added cost is worth it to me. And as with all SharkBite products I have used (most of them now!), the stuff is excellent quality, goes together real easy, and never gives trouble.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to use These brass T's were the perfect thing to use under my house. I have used the plastic kind before and they do not seal as well as these. I replaced the 90's under the house as a safety, so while I was at it, I replaced the T's as well. The crimping was not as hard as with the plastic T's. I'm really not sure if it was just me, but I think that having the brass under the PEX was better and made the crimping easier. The crimps looked very good and I feel that these were just better than the competitors "cheaper" brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work perfect as expected I switched over to Pex 5 years ago and I will never go back. It is easy to work with and completely reusable if you need to re-configure. These Shark Bite parts are always top quality materials and work just as you would want them to, perfectly! Always buy the 10 pack if your doing a big job. Would be a waste to have to run back for on Tee, you can always use it on your next job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really nice PEX fitting. I have previously used 1/2 in. Plastic PEX Barb Tees with pex and liked the light weight of the plastic. But I was sometimes concerned that the plastic wasn't a strong as a brass fitting. So I got these to do a comparison. UNBOXING: Certainly heavier than the plastic tees. Good fit and finish. Feels like it's made to do the job for the long haul. INSTALLATION: Standard PEX process. No different than the plastic. SUMMARY: Although the plastic fitting are ok I definitely feel more confidence using the brass fittings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharkbites are the best I highly recommend the 1/2" shark bite brass PEX tees. I prefer the brass over the plastic ones. Pex is a low cost solution and the Sharkbite barb tees are easy to use and can be reused if you make a mistake or need to reconfigure. Sharkbite products are always top quality materials, reliable and reasonably priced. They make the job easy and when done you feel like you did a professional job. It helped me to talk to the home depot person in the plumbing dept and review online reading material before I started my project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Leak free plumbing to a tee I can not say enough good about these Pex fittings. They work flawlessly every single time. I think it is incredible how easy and simple my plumbing projects have become thanks to PEX. I am in the process of re-plumbing my entire house. The folks that originally plumbed the house 60 plus years ago used galvanized pipe in long lengths and tight bends that have reduced the water pressure to a trickle. These fittings helped return the pressure to where it needs to be.
