Standard hole size to be drilled for this type of insulator, is 1 3/8" (applies to 1/2", 3/4" and 1")

Works great! Don't have to worry about wood edges rubbing a hole in the pex plumbing. I thought the hole they wanted you to drill in joist was big, but it worked out fine.

These work great.
Worked great. You will need a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 inch paddle bit to use these in 2x4's.
