SharkBite 1/2 in. Push-to-Connect x FIP Brass 90-Degree Elbow Fitting is the fastest way to connect PEX, Copper, CPVC, PE-RT, or HDPE pipe in any combination. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. Simply insert the pipe and the teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. Changes can easily be made by rotating the fitting after installation. Removing the fitting is just as fast using a disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal and backed by a 25-year warranty.

      A:  I wouldn’t use this for a shower head. you have to anchor the piping for a shower head to a stud in the wall

                  A:  Hello - Our brass SharkBite Push-to-Connect fittings with the tan colored release collars are used to connect two pieces of pipe together that are CTS (Copper Tubing Size) comprised of any combination of PEX, rigid copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe. These fittings will not work with schedule 40, 80, or 120 PVC piping, as PVC is IPS not CTS. We do offer a transition coupling that goes from PVC to CTS that is identified with a white colored release collar. The added bonus is both ends rotate so if your pipes aren't 100% vertical/horizontal it doesn't matter.
