Product Details

SharkBite Push-to-connect ball valve is the easiest way to install a new or replacement shut-off ball valve. The single lever quarter-turn control allows for easy operation and the valve is perfect for potable water and hydronic applications where a shut-off is needed. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools are required. Simply insert the pipe and the teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal. Changes can easily be made by rotating the valve after installation. Removing the valve is just as fast using a disconnect tool so the valve can be easily changed or reused. Designed with stainless steel gripping teeth for a secure connection, a chlorine-resistant O-ring for a long-lasting seal, and backed by a 25-year warranty.
  • Compatible with PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT, and HDPE pipe
  • Push-to-connect fittings are ideal for installation in tight spaces
  • Rated to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and 200 PSI

Q:Can this be used to go from 3/4" galvanized pipe to copper pipe?

Answer This Question

A:  Hello, Unfortunately, brass SharkBite push-to-connect fittings and valves are not suitable for connecting to galvanized pipe. Connecting brass valves to galvanized pipe will cause corrosion due to the dissimilar metals. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our technical support department at 877-700-4242. Regards

                Easy Installation and Secure
Our water main valve started leaking and the Sharkbite 1" ball valve was the best option for CPVC installation. I followed the instructions to a T, and installed the ball valve. No issues on our main water shutoff now. Thank You for offering such a superior product.

I used this sharkbite push to connect valve to install a new hot water heater. It made the job so easy I could hardly stand it! I had been fretting the cost of hiring a plumber because I had no confidence sweating fittings myself! Sharkbite saved me a bunch of money! Thank you for this brilliant invention, I highly recommend it and will be sure to use sharkbite in the future!

swap out old pipe for new
Part of the copper pipe coming from my water heater corroded through. I used SharkBite connections for my new pipe installation. Easy Peasy! This product is so easy to work with and performs perfectly.

Last summer I installed a 3/4 ball valve to my outside water. It worked fine. This year I opened it back up and water is squirting out. What happened

Incredibly easy to install! Too bad these weren’t around back in the days when I was first installing my sprinkler system (1985) because it would have been done correctly.
