I've used pex and sharkbite push to connect fittings for a large compressed air setup in my barn and it works great. Absolutely no leaks or problems whatsoever.

Why does the Blue pex cost $9.90 more than the Red? They are the same product!

Asked by: Cope
Which type of pipe is used more? Cold water pipe; or hot water pipe? Uh, cold water plumbing accounts for more length of pipe than hot water plumbing. Every toilet, every fountain, every outdoor (garden hose) stopcock, every outdoor pool, uses cold water only. Since Blue PEX is used more often than Red, the Blue is easier to keep fresh in stock, there is less waste, and the inventory "turns" faster than Red.
