No, use the PEX-a with Oxygen barrier for heating (160 degrees). I bought PEX-b which I used for my plumbing supply line.
Yes. it is direct bury rated just wrap the connectors if direct bury with tape.
Yes you can use all SharkBite PEX in Cement. Blue, Red, White PEX are all the exact same pipe the coloring is just to allow users to easily identify Hot/Cold Lines.
Exact same...just to ID if hot or cold or service line if you need colors to show difference.
Absolutely.
The best at freeze resistance. The guy that installed mine used to be in North Dakota and saw exposed pex down to -12, swollen, but did not bust. When the temp went back up, pex went back to normal size. Mine is 2' under ground, but where I live it would probably be safe above ground.
Very light. Can carry under one arm easily.
With all new piping systems there is a chance there could be a small odor or taste initially. This usually goes away within a few days.
Yes, SharkBite PEX pipe is approved to AWWA C904 which covers PEX pipe in regards to burial. Be sure to check with local, city or state codes to see if the pipe needs to have sleeves or any type of protective burial for your area. PEX pipe can be used as a service line based on its corrosion resistance to soil and water, its long life, and its oxidative resistance. No, PEX pipe is not approved for continuous UV exposure. PEX pipe should not be stored in direct sunlight. If you have further questions, please contact Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.
