There are several fittings that will transition from pex to copper. Here's one that is easy to use: http://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-1-2-in-Brass-Push-to-Connect-Coupling-U008LFA/202270492 Just remember FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS to make sure the copper pipe is prepared properly.
All 3 of the connection points on this product are .5 inches in diameter.
This is a Pex barb it uses the rings 1/2 inch with a crimper.
Hi Eric, Yes, this fitting can be buried. It is recommended to wrap the fitting with http://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-Non-Adhesive-Multi-Purpose-Silicone-Wrap-25406/206945085?keyword=sharkbite+wrap especially in areas with harsh soil conditions. Thanks for your interest in our products.
Hello, Brass SharkBite fittings are not suitable for use with galvanized pipe as dissimilar metal corrosion will occur. We do not offer any push-to-connect fittings suitable for use with galvanized pipe but if your pipe is threaded you can use the SharkBite ProLock fitting (part # PL1116BFA2) in the link below to connect to PEX tubing. If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to reach out to our technical support department at 877-700-4242. https://www.homedepot.com/p/SharkBite-ProLock-1-2-in-x-1-2-in-Push-to-Connect-Plastic-FIP-Female-Adapter-Fitting-2-Pack-PL1116BFA2/312445531 Best Regards,
Yes, you need to use the Polybutylene adapter coupling first. If you have further questions, please contact Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.
No. The fixture itself should still have a hot and cold water connection and then the fixture will mix the water based on how you turn on the handle. If you have further questions, please contact Customer Service M-F, 8am-5pm at (877) 700-4242.
