Product Overview

The 3/4 in. CTS ProLock Push-to-Connect Tee (5-Pack) is the easiest and most dependable way to join PEX or CPVC pipe in any combination with no solder, glue or tools required. SharkBite ProLock fittings use a collet with stainless steel teeth that grips the pipe when fully inserted and an EPDM O-Ring to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal. When twisted into place, the locking cap locks the pipe in place and creates an audible click, ensuring maximum security. Disconnection is just as easy with no tools needed; simply twist the cap 1/4 in. turns counterclockwise to unlock then depress collet against the fitting to remove the pipe. ProLock Twist-to-Lock fittings are suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications. The have been specifically designed for the Professional Plumber. Code approved for behind-the-wall installations. 25-Years warranty.

The JG Prolock 3/4 in. cts Prolock push-to-connect tee (5-pack) is another fitting I added to my plumbers bag. It can be used with copper, pex and cpvc pipe. I use it on both hot and cold water lines. They could not be easier to connect and disconnect. I do not have to worry about putting them behind walls. They are code approved. I have used these fittings for years and never had a problem

This is a wonderful alternative to messy primer and glue or getting out the torch and perhaps burning something other than the fittings. I was looking for something I can re use if I need to reroute my irrigation in my grow rooms or houses. They are much less work to install and actually no mess. I like that! The pro lock can be purchase in 1/2 " or 3/4" and can be used for copper, pex, or cpvc.

The JG PROLOCK 1/2 cts tee is a handy fitting to keep around the house. It is for use with copper, pex and cpvc pipe. I have used them in the past and found them to be very well made. They are approved for behind the wall use, that makes them reliable to me. I use them on both hot and cold water lines. They are very easy to connect and disconnect to pipes. I like using them very much and they are warranted for 25 years.

When I ordered these 3/4 IN. CTS Prolock Push-to-Connect Tees I thought they were for drip irrigation tubing systems. Only when I read the detailed product description did I realize these are intended for use on Copper, PEX and CPVC piping. In that regard, they are much like the SharkBite fittings that I've used for many years. The advantage of SharkBite fittings is that they're made of brass and are removable using a small plastic tool. These John Guest (JG) ProLock fittings are well-made of Polysulphone or Polyphenylsulphone, a hard black plastic that is guaranteed for 25 years against manufacturing defects. Unlike SharkBite fittings, these require no special tool to remove the fitting from the pipe: You simply rotate the locking cap counterclockwise and push in the collet. The pipe slips right out with no damage. (SharkBite recommends that you cut off the section of PEX pipe that was inside the old fitting before re-using the pipe.) These JG ProLock fittings are certified for behind-the-wall use, but not for underground applications. (SharkBite fittings are certfied for both underground and behind-the-wall installations.) Neither is designed for use with regular PVC. These are faster to install than regular PEX barb and crimp ring fittings as they require no special tools and can be installed in tight quarters where you would have trouble reaching with the PEX crimping tool. The same is true for SharkBite Push-to-Connect fittings. I'm not sure the faster installation of these ProLock fittings is worth the extra cost over standard PEX barbed fittings and crimp rings. On the other hand, they are fairly close in price to SharkBite Push-to-Connect fittings and somewhat easier to use. I haven't used these yet in a pressurized water line so I can't comment on how well they hold up under pressure.

Home Depot is making it easier for DIYers and Pro's everyday. Products like this one can save you time, money and frustration. If you've ever had to sweat (solder) a pipe over your head and in the dark while you were freezing, this product would have saved you time and aggravation. So easy, 1. Cut pipe straight 2. Insert pipe fully into fitting 3. turn locking cap 1/4 turn to the right ( you will hear it click) 4. Go back to what you were doing before.. If you need to go back and take it apart later on turn locking cap back the other way (left) push collet back and pull the pipe out.... They can be used over again..They are for use with copper, PEX and CPVC Suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications as well as hydroponic systems and a 1000 other uses as well as being approved for behind-wall use This is a great addition for your home tool box for emergency use or any plumbing job..

These are a couple of bucks less expensive then the competition's 3/4 in. Brass Push-to-Connect "T" Couplings. For me, that's enough of a difference to switch from brass to plastic. These are Code approved for behind-the-wall installations and offer a 25-years warranty. Price aside, one notable difference is that the competition requires the purchase of a disconnect clip to remove the fitting but the JG ProLock requires no additional tools. Installation and removal couldn't be easier. Cut the tubing square and deburr the end. Push it fully into the fitting, until it bottoms out, then twist the collar clockwise a quarter turn until it clicks into the locked position. The internal stainless steel teeth lock on tight. When fully locked two indicator marks on the side of the fitting will align. To remove, simply twist counterclockwise a quarter turn and depress the collet against the the fitting then remove the pipe. These can be used with copper, PEX and CPVC, mix and match, and they're also suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications.

These 1/2 inch CTS ProLock Push-to-Connect Tees make plumbing pipe connections extremely easy. They eliminate the need for a torch, solder, and tools. The push fit assembling technology continues to improve here with the positive connection feel and quarter turn lock for total security. No leaks the first time when you turn on the water! Removing the pipe is just as easy with the built in collet depression function which eliminates the need for the separate tool that's required for the brass style couplers. They are a little less expensive than the brass and the quality of the plastic material seems like good sufficient quality.

Great product that is homeowner friendly and a good value. Easy intuitive connectors that give a click when in proper place and are easy to remove if added pipe length is needed. I've used push to connect fittings in the past and I like how it make plumbing installation much easier. These fittings are made of a plastic material with a rubber seal to insure a leak free connections. These fittings are used in place of soldering or gluing, which makes it perfect for novice homeowners, working in tight spots or when you want a quick and easy repair. They're also reusable too! Note that they are larger than regular copper fittings. These fittings work great! Just clean the ends and make sure the end cut is square. If it's not, square, there's a chance it could leak, so make sure you use a good pipe cutter or miter saw vs freehand cutting with a hand saw. I highly recommend these fitting for not only beginners, but also for pros looking for a quick installation.

Plumbing has made an giant leap forward with these connectors, gone are the days of threading steel pipe, gone are the days of soldering pipe, gone and the days of messy glue. These connects are not only better but faster and so simple to use, who can't push to pieces of pipe together? Simple, fast and easy, what more could you ask for? Even from a cost perspective these connectors are miles ahead of any other way of putting pipe together.

If you like SharkBite push to connect fittings you will like these push to connect fittings as well. Unlike SharkBite Push to connect fitting prolock requires no special tool to disassemble...Just a quarter twist to take apart SharkBite certified above an below ground..Prolock above ground only. Save about a dollar per fitting vs. SharkBite push to connect Works well with Copper, PEX and CPVC...Mix and Match ...A welcome technological fix that costs a bit more for materials and is priceless for labor savings when working in an enclosed space that makes crimping PEX or sweating copper challenging/impossible.

I have not had this product long enough to comment on how reliable it is long term, however, it does appear to be well made. I have to admit that at first I was a little skeptical about a quick connect fitting for water supply. I had some concerns that it might leak. However, after testing this product, I did not have any leaks. One of the best things about the connection is that it is a very tight fit. Once the lock mechanism was in place, I was unable to pull the copper pipe from the fitting. I could not even make it move even a little. Another really nice feature is that the mechanism to remove the fitting is part of the fitting itself. No need for any tools to release the quick connect fitting. I did however notice that it does take some effort to remove the fitting and that it is a little difficult to keep the release depressed while trying to remove the fitting from the pipe. That being said, I do not mind the fact that it takes some effort. It gives me more confidence that the fitting will not come apart by accident. Also, I do think that most users will not spend much time using the release mechanism unless they need to re-locate a pipe or fitting. I am hoping that Home Depot will soon be stocking this product in the local stores.

This tee is a winner for ease of use. Slips on in tight places where the hard to use crimping tool will not fit. Especially when there are three places to attach tubing. One mistake with the crimping of a clamp and the whole fitting needs to be cut off and a new one used. The Prolock push to connect comes and off is ready to use over again even though it's a little more expensive well worth the money and no aggravation. I have used many of the different couplers and consider this the best. It will even handle high water pressure up to 100 psi and possibly more.

These fittings are fantastic. Installation is simply a press fit and you rotate the collar 1/4 turn and it clicks to ensure proper installation. It's that simple - and they are leak free. They also are designed for disassembly - all you do is turn the collar back 90 degrees, then compress the collar to release the fitting and pull it off. No tools required - very convenient!

These are fantastic. Just push onto the pipe and twist to lock. No soldering and a reliable leak-free connection. I have used other brands with success - these are even better than the others I have used, as they have the "rotate to lock" feature. This gives assurance that the connection is good. I especially like the removal process - you do not need a separate tool, as the flange provided is sufficient to reach with your finger tip after twisting the collar to unlock.

My review is of the Prolock ½” tee. Most of the work I do is repairs on older systems and homes. These fittings make doing the work faster and safer. I don't have to worry about having a torch and solder. They fit well and I have not had a leak yet. They are even easy to remove. This helps when I I need to make changes in pipe direction or length. These are a excellent. They accept PEX, CPVC and copper tubing. I recommend them to everyone I know. They are a cost effective solution.

This is a great idea. These are easy to use. I put one on a piece of 1/2" PEX and it worked just like it was supposed to. I understand they are rated by code to be used behind walls. I renovate vintage travel trailers as a hobby and this is "the cat's me-ow" for that application. Being reusable and easily installed and removed there is no need to cut hoses when reconfiguring a line. They are also light in weight, another benefit. They seem a bit expensive but a quality product. You can rest easy knowing your pipes are secure. I will share this information with the RV groups I'm involved with.

As a Licensed plumber of 30 years I'm sorry to say I never heard of JG fittings or any product they make, these things are really top of the line when it comes to quality easy to use and a 25 year warranty. I have to say they really work great and anybody could install new water lines or any repairs with this system, I used them with Pex but you can use copper and CPVC. All you need to do is cut the pipe square remove burrs and sharp edges insert fully into fitting and turn a quarter turn till it clicks and your done. I believe any company that will give you a 25 year in wall warranty on plumbing fittings, knows they will out last even the warranty and that is great for home owners. I installed a outside sink in my grill area, and a hose bib on my front porch and wow the fastest plumbing lines I ever run. They have a website JGProLock.com and these are all CODE-APPROVED I really like them!

As a do-it-yourself type of person, I was very pleased with how fast and easy these fittings were to install. I didn't need any tools and they are holding up well, with no issues. I would use more of these fittings on other plumbing repairs/projects.
