Won't the brass threads on this react dielectrically with the galvanized steel tank to corrode in time?

Looks like you are matching up dissimilar metals here if using this on a hot water tank with steel inlet\outlet. - Won't the brass threads on this react dielectrically with the galvanized steel tank to corrode in time? I doubt if a little Teflon tape in between is enough to stop that process.
Asked by: Anonymous
Interestingly enough, brass is the preferred fitting as brass does not react like galvanized steel. And the hose itself and the washer further separates the dissimilar metals.
