The least expensive way to repair broken 3/4” PEX lines. Model # UP016A5 Internet #206133132 Store SO SKU #1001395196 SharkBite 3/4 in. Plastic PEX Barb Coupling (5-Pack) The least expensive way to repair broken 3/4” PEX lines. I have used most of the different types of PEX fittings (PVC, brass and Compression fittings). PVC PEX fittings is the least expensive way to go for any of your needs. Brass PEX fittings and Compression fittings will corrode and deteriorate in the ground. PVC fittings will last as long as the PEX pipe does. Takes less a minute to repair or connect 3/4” PEX line. See photos. Make sure you turn off the water before you cut the supply line. They are rated for 200°F at 200 psi so they will work with hydronic heating and water heaters. Was putting up a sprinkler for my lawn and needed couple of these couplings to join and split the lines. These look good, fit well and i like the flexibility to have these to be able to cover all the vegetable garden and rest. I would certainly recommend these. Make sure you are looking for this exact sizes, coz my neighbor bought the same and they didn't fit his.

I use PEX pipe for every water line these days. I normally run a 3/4" main line and then 1/2" line to each fixture. Many times I need a reducer coupler to change from the 3/4" main line to a smaller 1/2" line. One great thing about using PEX and these fittings is you can turn water on immediately. There is no reason to wait for glue to dry using these fittings.

Sharkbiite 1/2 inch pex couplings are easy to use and inexpensive. I am gradually replacing my copper supply lines with pex. Since the copper lines were compromised by my acidic water I am using pex. These couplings lets me make my supply lines all acid resistant. The couplings are well made and inexpensive when compared with copper fittings. Pex fittings are much easier to connect, foolproof connections without having to use torch in the house- and easier to work with

The Shark Bite PEX plastic barb reducing coupling is probably the best plastic coupling you can get. Its quality appears to be excellent with no sharp edges or barbs left over from the molding process. They install just like brass couplings and I would use them as an alternate to the brass as desired. Theres just not a lot you can say about plastic plumbing fittings, but if you're going to use plastic, use the best, like Shark Bite.

These unions work best with what is still a fairly new product called PEX. PEX is a new system for plumbing. You'll notice a blue n red tubing. This is PEX tubing and with the connector shown you can very easily join two piece of tubing together no heat no gluing needed. All you need other than what's pictured is a ring clamp and PEX crimping tool. It is possible as well to uncrimp the ring clamp should you ever need. These work with the shark bite clamps n shut offs also called ball cocks.

These are small 1/2 inch plastic couplings but let me assure you that they are very strong. They are the usual SharkBite quality made with rings around them to give them a lot of strength so you can tighten down on them enough to prevent leakage. I use them to repair water hoses and I also like to use them for airline repair. I find them to be a great way to make fast repairs at a low price.

Inexpensive way to connect PEX pipes in a corrosive environment Model # UP058A5 Internet #206133156 Store SO SKU #1001395210 SharkBite 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. Plastic PEX Barb Reducer Coupling (5-Pack) Low cost way to connect PEX pipe, suitable for corrosive environments The SharkBite PEX plastic barb coupling is one of the lowest cost solutions I have found for connecting PEX pipe together. I bury a lot of PEX and these plastic fittings are a perfect for areas where corrosion may affect a DZR brass fitting. I glad to see that the plastic barb fittings are suited for hydronic heating applications. Which means you can use it for hot and cold water.
