Love My New Microwave!
I remodeled my kitchen and decided to have a custom cabinet built for a microwave drawer. This Sharp product was not my first choice. I purchased the ZLine but it was on back order so cancelled that and went with Sharp. This product arrived earlier than expected (3 days) installed beautifully and I love it so far! It’s been 2 months and it’s working great. Minor issue in the beginning but Sharp C/S sent repair man to fix it. I couldn’t be happier!

FIRE HAZARD
Case Number 9394018. Unit came with the brand new house from the builder. Within a year, the unit almost burn the house down. After researching online.. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE! Contacted Sharp several time and keep being redirected every time. Sharp refuses to do anything about it. I will not buy anything from SHARP again, and will advise folks to take caution when purchasing any Sharp product.

Replaced previous model poor quality
I bought this microwave to replace my 12 year old sharp microwave drawer. It fit exactly how the last one fit so that was a big reason I went with this model again. So I installed the microwave in the same spot and it works great. The control panel is loose though. Seems to be a recurring problem with this model based on other reviews. Unfortunately I’ve yet to get through to Sharp or HD to fix this. Funny how they e made it really easy to “extend” the warranty on this. If there’s no one to fix your issue, it doesn’t matter. Overall, I’m disappointed with the quality of this for how much it costs. Hopefully Sharp and or HD will be able to fix this but I’ve yet to get through or hear back from them.

We built our home about 13 years ago and at the time the Sharp microwave drawer was a new item for homes. Because the home was new, we designed our cabinets for the microwave drawer to be installed above our warmer drawer. For 13 years we had no issues, no problems, no repairs or issues from the microwave nor was it affected by the heat of the warmer drawer. When we first moved into the home, we had an session on operating the microwave with the kids and made sure they knew not to push or pull on the drawer and it worked great for years. Over the years we did not notice any dropoff in its ability to heat foods or program for differing types of foods. The ease of programming was a plus because we are not that technical when it comes to microwaves and how quickly it heated food was a major benefit the family enjoyed. It also was a pretty cool novelty that the kids bragged about with thier friends for years. We recently moved out of that house into a new home and because of the kitchen design did not have a microwave drawer installed; that decision is now a regret as the one appliance the entire family seems to truly miss is the sharp microwave drawer.
If I read this review as one of the many, I would figure someone from Sharp slipped it in, but I assure you I am the average Joe consumer. The experience our family had with the Sharp Microwave Drawer was great!

I purchased this microwave because it was difficult for me to use the upper one over the range. And since I was remodeling the complete kitchen I wanted to have the one that was easier to use. I am just loving it. Runs so quiet and is so beautiful mounded in the new kitchen. After 63 years of marriage I certainly feel like I deserved to be pampered. Go get yours ladies, you will love it. Looking forward to ease of using it! Love it!

Dead in 2 Years
Like many other consumers stated, mine also died within the second year. It is clear that this is a product nobody should buy unless they want a product to last less than 2 years. This Microwave was born with the "2 Year Syndrome" which has no cure.
Unlike some other customers reported, SHARP USA did not offer me to cover the cost of diagnosis. They gave me a short list of authorized dealers that I can take it to for repairs.
I am taking it to curbside for garbage truck instead.

Get that microwave off the counter!
I love having the microwave off the counter. The overall effect looks sleek and clean. It seems to cook evenly, even though there is no carousel inside.

Sharp microwave drawer: Simply the best!
Many instructions appear in the LED display area making it so easy to operate and unnecessary to repeatedly refer to the manual. Sensor mode for softening, melting, re-heating, etc., works very well. Extremely easy access and no need for a carousel to reach even heating throughout.
The reason I did not give 5 stars: cleaning the entire interior of the installed area of the drawer. In fairness to Sharp, my drawer has not been installed very long and there may be a simple way to access this area that I am not yet familiar with.

Fantastic microwave
This is the coolest microwave. Not only does it look beautiful, but it's very functional. I love that I don't have to reach above my head to take dishes out to stir them. Looking down on the plate or bowl makes so much more sense. It's also much easier for the kids to reach. So far (after 2 months) we've had no problems. As with all microwaves, it takes a bit of time to gauge how quickly it heats and how to use its full capabilities, but spend 10 minutes reading the manual and you'll get it. Did I say how beautiful this microwave is?
