When an end-user decides to apply a polish or a finish to the floor they have now turned the product into a high maintenance floor. Cleaning the floor and applying the polish/finish/gloss will need to be done frequently. We do not recommend Mop and Glo or any similar product to be used on these floors. AnswerYes, Breckenridge Bayou 7 x 48 click lock vinyl flooring can be installed over existing ceramic/porcelain tile products with up to a 1/4 inch wide grout joint. If the grout joint width exceeds 1/4 inch, a cementitious patching compound should be used to fill the grout joint to make it smooth with the surface of the tile.

AnswerThe Shaw Breckenridge Bayou 7 x 48 click lock vinyl flooring does not require an additional underlayment but one can be used. When used the second underlayment must be a maximum of 3 mm thick and have a minimum density of 190 kg/m3 or 11.7 lb/ft3. The additional underlayment when used must be fully adhered to the subfloor with the appropriate adhesive. The subfloor must meet all requirements of being clean, flat, dry and structurally sound prior to installation of underlayment and flooring. As for the thickness of the floor, the product is a dense more compressed core that endures heavier foot traffic, hotter temperatures, and prevents telegraphing.

I am impressed with the quality of the Shaw Floors tile. Compared to the sample I received from a competing major-name brand, this product is a hundred times better.
Straight from the carton I noticed how much it looked like real wood. I placed it on the floor and looked at it from different angles, in different light, and I never noticed anything that made me believe it wasn't wood.
The feel was very pliable, and durable, unlike the brittleness of the competitor. I placed several planks over an area I knew wasn't perfectly flat and it laid very well. Minor undulations and imperfections are no problem for this flooring. It will save me a lot of extra prep in the area I intend to use it.
The tongue and groove planks connect very securely, with little effort, but easily come apart if you need to make adjustments.
I am pleased with the construction of this tile and the simplicity to install. I will be ordering more to complete my project.

BRECKENRIDGE ATRIUM 7 IN. W X 48 IN L CLICK LOCK VINYL PLAND FLOORING (18.68 SQ. FT./ CASE) This is the easiest LVP that I have ever had to work with. It cuts very easily and click locks together easier than any other product that I’ve installed. I have never had an LVP that has a soft, cushiony underlayment already attached. That’s a huge selling point for me. It looks like real wood, easy to clean and maintain. I’ve installed numerous brands and styles of LVP Over the years and this is the easiest and best looking that I have had to install so far. If you are looking for a classy looking, easy to clean product, this is it.

Beautiful, high-end quality flooring with attached underlayment and very heavy and durable/sturdy. I've been moving along the lines of gray tones and beige/earthy colors but, want this for my laundry area to go with the Edison light fixture because it will accent the colors nicely. I didn't install it yet and had to lay a few pieces on the final resting place and once I get help to move the washer and dryer and to get this down, it will be amazing and provide better foot support than my hard vinyl linoleum. The color is exquisite and has a lot of grainy details. I hope I have too much because I may opt to redo the secondary bath as well since my color scheme is green, mustard like yellow and white. Breckenridge Atrium 7 in. W x 48 in. L Click Lock Vinyl Plank Flooring (18.68 sq. ft./case) is a beautiful and functional vinyl flooring. This is only the second flooring we have installed that has a "Soft Silence" or any kind of acoustical padding attached. That will now be a pre-requisite to any future laminate flooring purchase. As long as your subfloor or concrete floor is in good condition no additional soundproofing or vapor barrier necessary and it's also 100 % waterproof. I would label this product as belonging in a class of "Luxury vinyl" ~
The planks measure 7 inch width X 48.03 inch in length and 4.8 mm thickness. Looking like real wood, clear down to appearing to have imperfections through-out the "wood" and a matte finish. There is also no acclimation required, again simplifying the installation process.
Installation was pretty straight forward. It's easy to score with a utility blade then snap to length desired. A rubber mallet and tapping block helps in areas that need a bit of a nudge. The beveled edges lock each plank together. It is always recommended that you purchase 10% extra to allow for coverage. I hope my review is helpful in assisting you when choosing Laminate flooring. I am a happy camper.

Wow! As a fan of life proof flooring I definitely wanted to check out this new forte pro five series waterproof vinyl flooring from Shaw and see how it stands up! So far I’ve been very impressed! This luxury vinyl flooring is 100% waterproof 100% pet proof and 100% worry proof.This particular type of flooring also offers not only clicking lock installation but also glue down installation options. The planks themselves seem a little bit thinner in construction then it’s life proof counterpart but the face of them seems just as durable. I would highly recommend! Looks and feels like real wood!

This flooring is a winner in my opinion. I really like the ease and speed of working with it!
We pulled up the carpet in the whole house and painted the concrete 20 years ago. Its chipping and it's time for a change! Since we did the living room and hall, I thought we might as well do with this room too.
*It feels much better to walk on than the concrete! The pieces are thin, but it really does feel like I'm walking on a more cushioned floor.
*Cutting the pieces was easy, a couple passes with the razor cutter and it could be snapped, then a quick cut on the backing.
*This version of flooring has a matte surface, giving the look of sun bleached barn wood. There are textured groves in it like real wood. The detail is very well done.
*The pattern repeats often, but each piece has the pattern placed at different start points. Like a certain swirl pattern might be at the end of one piece and the same swirl would be in the middle of another piece. It was easy to space them out.
*As for the baseboards. I didn't want to pull them up and will use 1/4" round trim to cover the edges.
We've done three rooms with different versions of lock flooring and this one is my favorite. I love the weathered barn wood look. If that's what you're looking for, I would recommend it for sure!

This is an unbiased review that is unaffected by the fact that I received this product for free. As proof of impartiality, just click on my nickname and see the average of the ratings I have given over 300 reviews to date.
I wanted to evaluate two styles of flooring to be installed in my kitchen. I had this one and another one of a darker design.
I started with this one and laid several planks as specified in the instruction sheets. Each was "snapped" together and laid on the floor. These come with rubber backing already attached. The sided are beveled but not the ends. I left them on the floor for a week while I rated the appearance and security. I hate the design. It looks like wood that you might find at a demo site where an old house has been razed. It reminds me of termite-damaged wood. I selected it based on the advertisement but the appearance is not up to matching the photos in the ad.
Also I was not impressed with the integrity of the locking. After just one day, many of the planks had come loose from the others. I certainly did not want that happening after all the work of installing them on this entire floor. So, I will not be using them in this room. They are more suited for a workshop and would probably need to be fastened to the floor.
I found the other set to be much better in appearance and security. So those will be installed.

The color of this 100% waterproof vinyl plank flooring from Shaw is sort of tanish-grey with streaks of cream, giving the flooring an aged and worn appearance. The flooring is only 3/16-inch thick, including the pre-installed underlayment. The click-lock edges are paper thin and very brittle, so you need to be careful handling so as not to break them while removing the from the box as well as during installation. A 1/16-inch thin rubbery feeling underlayment is pre-installed, so you will not need to install underlayment before putting down this flooring. The edge of the planks is square, not beveled, and fit tightly together. Each plank features grain and knots that closely resemble that of natural wood planks. There are 8 planks per case, and a case covers a little over 18.5 sq. ft. Each plank in the box has a slightly different grain pattern, and I did not find more than two of the same grain patterns in any one box. The grain pattern is pronounced enough to provide grip, so the flooring isn’t slippery. When installed, it’s difficult to distinguish this vinyl plank flooring from natural hardwood flooring. Even though the flooring is thin, it takes on a lot of depth after its put down. I really like this flooring, much more than I thought I would, but special care is needed when butting the planks together so as not to damage the click-lock connection points or chip the ends. This flooring is made in China and is 100% waterproof so it can be installed in any room of the home, even a moist basement, and is rigid enough that heavy objects won’t cause indents. I purchased a mallet, a bag of spacers/shims, a pull bar and a tapping block which made installing this product very easy. I still have more flooring to put down, but the part of the floor that is finished looks great, and I am very satisfied with it.

7 inch by 48 inch Planks covers a lot of area Fast. To me it's almost impossible to tell if it's Real Wood Planking. Comes with backing attached, which helps with noise. I've done a lot of Laminate flooring and none come close to the Finish Product. Totally Waterproof. Great for Kitchens, Bathrooms or Basements.
