Hey there, Rich. Grand Slam luxury vinyl plank flooring is less likely than laminate or hardwood to be damaged by pets’ food and water bowls. Keeping the pets’ nails trimmed is recommended to reduce the likelihood of scratches or gouges occurring. ~kj
is this textured or completely smooth? if smooth anybody know of textured glue down?
This style is not smooth, but is deep embossed.
Is it waterproof?
This floor is water resistant, but not considered waterproof. Water would not harm the planks themselves, but could penetrate the seams if left in place for more than 24 hours.
Why is this LVP glue down possible, while others are not?
This product is designed as a glue down vinyl. There some products that are tested to be installed both floating and direct glue, but most will be only one installation method.
is this flooring waterproof?
The floor is water resistant, but would not be considered waterproof. Water would not damage the planks themselves, but water standing on the floor for 24 hours could penetrate a seam, and could affect the subfloor below.
