I gave it 4 stars because the assembly instructions are horrible and caused a lot of re-doing things. I am more mechanical than most and still had difficulty with assembly. The directions are generic for a smaller size, as you go to the larger sizes they just add components but there is no diagram showing additional components. Also, the elbows at the bottom of the roof need to be installed in a certain orientation and it is not mentioned or illustrated anywhere in the directions. My advice is lay all components out before assembling and see how thing are going to end up when complete. Getting thee cover properly installed with no bellies or sags seems to be at least a 2 part process. I have only had it up 2 weeks so far but I have experienced heavy rain and 50 mph winds. The shelter did fine and stayed dry inside.

The products from Shelter Logic are flimsy and are unable to withstand normal winter weather. (I'm in Michigan.) They won't honor the warranty if they can say damage to the structure was caused by "nature." We thought it would be a good way to protect our boat from winter weather while we waited to build a permanent pole barn, and our money would have been far better spent on storing it at a facility. Not only are we out the price of the shelter (it's completely unusable now), but our boat has been damaged because of this poor choice. We had a very mild winter here this year, and we put the structure behind a shed and along a privacy fence for extra shelter from the wind, etc. but the thing started having problems 3 days after we finished building it. Among the list of issues are that the poles are bent, the tarp has torn off the frame, and the zippers wouldn't stay closed on either door. My advice is to look elsewhere. These products are a waste of time and money.

They have a picture that is for all sizes. We put it together and have 4 pipes that we don't know what they are for. No where in the directions do they say when/where to put them. It would be nicer if the parts and directions were for the size of cover that we bought. The bolts and nuts were in one big bag and didn't have a description of them. They should put each different fastener in their own bag. We also have about 8 bolts that we are not sure where they were supposed to go. The cover has about 6 different rips that we found after we assembled it, and we are not about to take it back apart! Tape it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice garage shelter I am very pleased with my 12x24 garage shelter from ShelterLogic...the overall quality of the product is very good. It took me a little longer to assemble the 12x24 shelter than I thought it would. Mainly because I did it by myself without any assistance and several of the tent poles required some minor finishing (filing of excess material) for a proper snug fit. I did have to call customer support for some assistance. Customer support was excellent. My advice would be to read the instructions all the way through before attempting to assemble the tent to give yourself a good idea of how the assembly progresses. Layout the materials in a large space beforehand to minimize any confusion of what goes where. Also, buy some 3 1/2 inch bolts to use instead of the 3 inch bolts and your assembly will go much smoother.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND....Trust me, this is definitely a product that you do not want to purchase. I bought one and the top of it was rotting and ripping well before a year. Contacted Home Depot and they would not stand behind it and told me that I had to go through Shelter Logic to get taken care of. Had to fight with Shelter Logic for quite some time because they did not want to refund my money and they sent me clear vinyl patches to put on the rips and they worked for a week or so then let go. Finally after months they sent me a new top cover to replace.. Well guess what, it did the same thing and by now it was well over a year and their so called warranty was over. If purchased and in direct sun and heat... it will not last and just rot and rip up. Save your money, I am very disappointed in Shelter Logic and Home Depot for this wasted expense. P.S. Even the tarps I've put across the top rot out in the direct sun and with the heat in Slidell,La

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Great Value, Easy to Install First of all let me say that we live on the open prairie of Wyoming. We regularly get 30+mph wind and often gusts over 50mph. I was skeptical that a soft-sided shelter would work for our situation, but after some research I opted to give this entry level unit a shot. Also, before installing the shelter I did sink 6' posts in concrete and install a 6-foot fence on both the west and north sides of where the shelter was to be installed. Given our wind situation, this seemed like a necessary safeguard. As for the shelter, it is made from high quality tubing, a great baked finish, and a "good" quality tarp-type cover. The frame is very solid and has alreay proven itself in 50mph wind gusts that blew in just hours after I finalized installation. Only time will tell if the cover withstands constant jostling and the winter's snowload. It seems a little think for a "three layer" cover, but, the ripstop has already proven itself where I accidentally nicked the cover. It is not spreading. As for installation, I INSTALLED THIS LARGE SHELTER BY MYSELF. Frankly, I don't recommend it. Tha manufacturer recommends "3 or more persons" for installation. I did it myself using my tractor to hoist the 100+lb beams into the air. I completed the structure in about 10 hours spread out over a weekend. It can be done but it was a lot of work. My only real complaint [assuming the cover holds for several years] is the instruction manual. It is very sparse on details and even moreso on pictures. I have a lot of mechanical apptitude and I found myself searching for clarity on the skimpy instructions. But once I grasped the concept of a particular section the assembly went pretty quick. Keep the cover as tight as possible as any movement with eventually lead to wear. Also, I suggest supplying your own anchor system for the bottom of the front and rear panels. With the kit it is designed to just hang loose. But they move a lot. Overall, this is a great shelter at a real budget price. All together with the 2-sided wall I built and the 2-car garage size shelter, I have just under $2k in the project. If the cover holds up to the elements, I'll love this shelter. I have no doubts about the stout frame.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product but the Construction direction are TERRIBLE! The shed is of good quality but the directions to assemble it are Terrible! The manufacturer seriously needs to spend some time on the directions and actually try to build it from there own directions. I am a Mechanical Engineer and have my builders license and it took me about 9 hours to construct. The biggest problem was that they did not state which direction the poles needed to be installed, pay close attention to this as they only go together one way and once they are bolted good luck getting them back apart but you will not know they are installed wrong until final assembly. They also need to simplify the installation of the doors. Overall seems to be of good quality but make sure you have an entire day to install it and you will need a buddy as well......Good Luck.
