Would these be suitable for the feet of wrought iron furniture that will be placed on an outdoor ...

We would not recommend these for your wrought iron furniture legs, as we make a different product that is specifically made to insert into wrought iron furniture legs. These are measured by the inner diameter of your furniture legs and are offered in 1-1/2" and 1-1/4" (Shepherd Hardware item numbers 3040 and 3039S, respectively). If your local Home Depot store does not carry either one of these items, you can go to the Pro Desk and have them do a special order by calling us at 800-645-8990.
Is the 13/4 an outside demenision vs inside cup size
