I would not recommend them for a hollow leg. I would try to cap the leg and then secure a 1 1/2 inch slider to the cap. It will depend on what the table is sitting on, tile, stone or carpet. Also if this is indoors or outside. If outside I'd want something that screws to this cap since the weather may break down the sticky tape on the sliders.
