AnswerThe glides work very well on floor surfaces that won't easily move or roll up under the chair.
What is the height of the glide? It looks like about 1/4". Please let me know. Thank you.

So glad I found these!
We've had our kitchen chairs for a long time, but it wasn't until recently that I figured out that the glides I needed to purchase were the screw in kind (not the nail in kind--which I hate putting in). I was pleasantly surprised when I received the order; the picture and description do not show or explain the features. The glides have the grey plastic bottom part that touches the floor, a layer of black rubber like material on top of that, and lastly, a layer of foam adhesive that was like a sticker--peel off the back and stick it on. Screws were also included, and, according to the packaging, are optional to use because of the adhesive. The only problem I had with installation was that the screws were a little tight, so I ended up using mostly the old screws, which wasn't a problem. The packaging says that the brand is Shepherd Slideglide if you want to compare with other stores. Very happy with my purchase.
