Product Details

Siemens offers a wide array of thermal-magnetic circuit breakers that are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your homes electrical system. To provide additional protection Siemens offers circuit breakers to protect against severe electrical shock or electrocution, mitigate the risk of electrical fires and protect against damaging surges and Voltage spikes. Circuit breakers are intended for switching and protection of your home's wiring from high temperatures caused by excess current higher than the rating of the wire. While thermal-magnetic circuit breakers are the key element for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system, there are potentially dangerous conditions that do not involve over current.
  • Single pole, 30 Amp 120-Volt type QP interchangeable circuit breaker
  • 10,000 AIC interrupting rating
  • Siemens type QP circuit breakers provide easy plug-in connections in Siemens enclosures and the time saving insta-wire feature

  • Use for overload and short-circuit protection of your electrical system

Q:What is the difference between a QP and QT?

Answer This Question

A:  I believe the ?T? stands for Tandem. Thus used for 220 volt circuits.

by|Mar 17, 2023

A:  QP breakers are 1-inch per pole branch breakers, while QT combines a pair of 1/2-inch breaker poles...(Usually called "Thin Twin" by Electricians), they have similar physical dimensions...They could fit in the same space. However, I don’t suggest interchanging them because if you damage the breaker or panel while trying to interchange them, it may void your warranty...Only certain panels will accept QT Circuit Breakers on designated bus tabs and those bus tabs are limited in the panels... Additionally, interchanging breakers can lead to arcing and fires, especially if the two breakers in question are loose-fitting...

A:  QP breakers are full 1" size breakers and the QT are half 1/2" size breakers see both cut sheets provided https://s3.amazonaws.com/dcc-data-extract/new-delta/asset/Compas/daily/Compas/Specification%20Sheet/SIE_BR_QT.pdf https://s3.amazonaws.com/dcc-data-extract/new-delta/asset/Compas/daily/Compas/Specification%20Sheet/SIE_SS_QP_MiniBreaker.pdf

        Answer This Question

A:  The Q120 (QP Frame) is an approved branch breaker for the LC230EC. The LC230EC will accept QP frame breakers. Neutral or ground accessories for the LC230EC are obsolete and no current offerings are UL approved for use with the obsolete load center LC230EC.

Q:Can you use a double pole 60 amp Circuit Breaker for a single 60 amp breaker by only using one side? Is each side 60 amps for a total of 120 amps or is each side 30 amps for a total of 60 amps?

          Answer This Question

A:  The Q260 is rated for 60A max, as well as the Q160 is rated for 60A max. The Q260 would not be rated or suitable for 120A application, as the breaker is rated for 60A max.

These fit right in to replace old Murray MT. My electricity was out in half 2nd floor, electrician said old breakers were good. I had already ordered & received new ones(delivered to my front door free, yay!) so I "whined" saying I just wanted the new ones put in anyway. So, # 4 replaced with 15amp & #6 with 20amp. Yay! Electricity back on for all 5 ceiling lites, a bath exhaust fan & all 6 bedroom outlets! Yippee! I'm smarter than the smirking electrician! LOL!

The two single pole 20 amp Siemens type QP breakers were the exact replacement for a Siemens double-pole 20 amp breaker in a generator transfer switch. We wanted to have two single breakers rather than a double breaker.

This breaker and another was added after the meter at a service box on the pole. This gave me two separate 20 amp circuits for outdoor use. Pass through to barn is unaffected.
