I received the sauna after Christmas and picked up (300lb) in two boxes. There was a small crack in the bench seat, all else was fantastic. I have had a couple dilemmas before purchasing. (1) most I have read is that it will not heat up outside (2) cedar is not the recommended choice of wood (3) the exterior finish if any on wood. I am placing it on an outside patio that is covered. I placed the unit on concrete steppers on the concrete, so that when washing the patio I do not puddle water underneath. I put the unit together which was very easy and fit well. I found the outside wood is finished ( I presume with spar varnish). After using the unit in 60-65 degree weather outside, the unit has reached 140 degrees in approximately 30-40 minutes.

The infrared sauna has been excellent. Heats up quick and is very comfortable. The construction of the sauna is very good. The written instructions were not very clear. Was able to watch an assembly on You Tube which helped.When we were unboxing the sauna, as we were lifting the door which was pre-hung, the glass exploded. No one was hurt, just 1/4 pieces of glass everywhere. I contacted Home Depot immediately. They were very understanding and supportive. They gave me the name and number of the manufacturer as well as the P.O. number Home Deport used for purchase. I contacted the maaufacturer who without hesitation shipped out a new glass door with hardware at their cost including shipping. within three days, we had installed our new door.

A Good Value - We set up and started using right away. We love it. The cedar has a slight aromatic quality, not overpowering but you pleasant. This model is a good value. The construction is OK. Not the highest grade (made overseas) but still a good value considering the cost. My only warning is the delivery cartons are huge and heavy. I needed a pickup truck to pick up at the store. @ oversize cartons come on a pallet with a combined weighs over 290lb. This won't fit in a big SUV or minivan, you need a truck so consider home delivery. It took longer to unpack then it did to set-up. My teenage daughter was my helper and it took a little over a half hour to set-up. I'm still trying to understand the reason for the mood light which looks very cheap. I'm also trying to understand why all these saunas ship with a cheap car stereo - complete with 1970s car antenna. All in all a good value, we love having a sauna and plan on getting plenty of use out of it.
