DRYLOK Siloxane 7 Brick and Masonry Penetrating Sealer is a clear, durable, water-repellent, specialty formulation for use on exterior, above-grade, vertical and horizontal brick and masonry surfaces. With just one coat, it minimizes the deterioration of masonry and mortar, and helps control efflorescence (salt deposits) and surface staining. DRYLOK Siloxane 7 Brick and Masonry Penetrating Sealer has no sheen and is virtually invisible on stucco, brick, and concrete.
  • Contains 7% siloxane - creates a chemical bond between the concrete and mortar to create a moisture vapor barrier and repel water
  • Keeps water out, allows water vapor to escape
  • Resists 98 MPH wind-driven rain
  • Will not damage asphalt shingles

A:  Wall - Thank you for your question. Siloxane 7 is designed for exterior applications for its water repellency. For an interior application, you could use DRYLOK® Natural Look Sealer which has a matte finish, or if a gloss sheen is desired, DRYLOK® WetLook Sealer.     A:  You can but I'm not sure why you would. It's purpose is to seal out moisture. On exterior brick it helps prevent chipping of the brick from the freeze thaws during the winter. At least the kind I have does not change the look of the brick at all.

      A:  Phil, DRYLOK® Siloxane is not a patching product so if the cracks are open, they should be repaired. DRYLOK® Siloxane 7 is a water consistency siloxane that penetrates the surface without changing the appearance. It can be used after the small cracks have been repaired.         A:  It causes the brick and mortar to repel water rather than letting it seep in. But it doesn't seal visible cracks. It's consistency is thin.

            The sealer was easy to apply using a garden sprayer. Seems like it sealed the concrete is there is no more dust. I had multiple problems with delivery- Leaking and missing bottles.

            I’ve used this before and it works. Problem is that there isn’t protection in the packaging and it leaked all over the place during shipping. If you are getting this online make sure your select ‘pick up in store’.

              I bought this product to seal some badly leaking chimney shoulders that were already painted. I applied the product liberally using only a car wash brush mounted on a long roof raking pole. It stopped all the leaks in spite of the paint. The product found all the vulnerable crevices and sealed them perfectly even against driving and persistent wind and rain. Amazing.

              The only reason for the poor rating, is because I wanted to use this on my new concrete driveway. I called the manufacturer about an application question and they informed me the product is not recommended for vehicular traffic. My ordering and return experience with Home Depot was fine.
