Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product. Not a super degreaser, but cuts through anything... Amazing product. Not a super degreaser, but cuts through anything on the frame. It did pretty well on my dirty cassette and chain, but its not really meant for that. Overall I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works just as well as specialty bike cleaners, at half the price So yeah I am an avid cyclist. I have been for about 6 years now. I have a couple mid level carbon fiber road bikes and one high end road bike. Road bikes need to be cleaned regularly and well maintained because dirt can hinder the performance of the components. The problem is that most cleaners you buy in bike stores that are made specifically for bikes are pretty expensive and they do not last long. So when i saw this I wanted to try it out. Simple green is a well known brand and this bottle of bike cleaner is much lower price than what you would buy specialty bike cleaners than you buy in bike stores. Since i was trying this cleaner for the first time and the label did not specifically mention that this cleaner was ok for carbon fiber. I decided to first give it a try on my Fuji Altimira, which is a mid range road bike, but is actually the cheapest bike I have. Works out great in this case because this is the bike that I normally ride around town anyway so it was pretty dirty. The first thing I noticed about this stuff is that it has absolutely no harsh smells. Which is fantastic to me. It has a foaming tip on the bottle so you arent just spraying away wasted much of the fluid. Another plus. I started by spraying the cleaner a small part of the carbon fiber in a place that isnt seen. I let it sit on it over night to see if it would have any bad affects on the carbon fiber. It had non. So I proceeded to do the entire bike. Starting with the chain, front/rear derailed and brakes. Those are the dirtiest components. Let me tell you. This stuff works great. After letting it sit for a minute or two I came back to see the oil and grime from the cassette dripping down on to the ground. I helped it out by giving the complainants a light scrub with a soft bristle brush and it removed all of the old chain oil and crime. Rinsed everything down in my driver way and pulled and fired up my air compressor to dry the bike off and I had a perfectly clean bike ones again. This Simple Green bike cleaner works just as well as expensive specialty cleaners found in bike stores. This stuff is much cheaper though. So stop wasting your money on the specialty stuff and buy this. It works great. Oh and its also biodegradable so you can use it on your bike in the driveway and wash it off with out worrying about it flowing into the drains.

This product will clean bike chains and sprockets right down to bare metal, removing the grease and dirt that builds up so quickly. Greasy deposits on the chain hold grit and dirt that increase friction, make pedaling harder, and cause premature wear of components. After cleaning and lubricating with fresh bike chain lube, pedaling is noticeably easier. A regular schedule of cleaning and lubricating also prolongs the life of chains, chain wheels, and cassettes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good mild bike wash Just used this to pre wash the bike that was quite dirty. It is mild on the hands and does a great job. I recommend using it in shade as it states as my black bike dries quickly in the sun. It shined the chrome up beautifully and even did well on the rims. I used a garden leaf blower to dry the bike and if sparkles nicely. It is non corrosive and non caustic so unlike the harsh bike washes it won't mess up the bolts and chrome.

It does a good job sticking to the dust and breaking the dirt down to wash away. It is all about how you do it and it works well. I do not see any degradation to the paint or metal parts with grease like the chain which is good. It does best on the bars and tire rims. I am pleased with the performance thus far.
