This SimpliciKey electronic door lock is a product that offers a simplistic approach to secure residential access. Each lock can be opened with a sleek handheld remote control device, its backlit alpha-numeric keypad, or its traditional key, giving you plenty of options for use. Wonderful!
I've had a wonderful experience with my SimpliciKey. I ordered it online from Home Depot. It arrived promptly and I was able to set it up myself in 20 minutes with no problem.
The design is ingenius. It doesn't look high-tech on the outside (refer to attached photo), but its capabilities are amazingly convenient! We have a handyman working on a bathroom project right now. Instead of paying to have a key made for him, he can use a custom key code to enter and lock the house as needed.
Needless to say, I don't think we'll ever be able to go back to regular lock and key!

Deception total
Deception total, I have 3 doors with this system and all is a failure on 2 years when battery failure I try to repairs but the internal system is cracky.

The item looks great and very stylish. However, I've tried 2 of them. I could not get the remotes to program and the batteries in the lock keep dying so you need to use the key. This totally negates the "keyless" feature. Customer service by the manufacturer is non-existent. I found a tutorial on YouTube on how to install it that was good, but it still wouldn't work. I waited too long to install the first one so I couldn't return it. I really like the looks of this lock, so I tried a second one, but it too did not work, so I returned it.

I am so disappointed with this lock. I really wanted to love the Simplicity lock but the key fobs do not work properly. I first ordered it back in May and the fobs were problematic. I thought I had just got a bad item so I returned it and recently decided to reorder it. Unfortunately I experienced the same problem. The remote key fobs, which is why I purchased the lock in the first place, are buggy. I like the convenience of carrying the fob on my key ring and using it instead of a key so I don't have to fumble with keys at the door. My experience has been that the fob will work for a day or 2 and then it starts malfunctioning by not locking or unlocking the deadbolt and subsequently emit error beeps. Keep pressing the fob it may eventually work but it seems the electronic board inside the fob is of poor quality and if pressed to hard will render the fob useless. This time one of the fobs did not work out of the box and the other required multiple presses before it sometimes worked. I looked for reviews on this lock and it seems most of the complaints are that the fobs are defective. I would not recommend this lock.
