the SimplyNeu floor based unit can be a stand alone unit and is secured to the wall with an L bracket for extra stability. there is no backing option.

Can you buy extra shelves? Do they come in a pack or singles? How much are they? Can you buy them from this website?

Omg. Putting together this product was a nightmare! They send you a booklet of ALL the instructions of ALL of their products. First, I thought I was missing many parts. Had to wait days to find out I had all of my parts. Second, the instructions were not clear at all! It was a complete guessing game. We spent hours putting together what should have been a simple project. The shelves are sturdy and heavy, but be prepared to completely guess on the assembly.

Disappointed in measurement
Seems to be sturdy enough. Just don't not believe that this shelf is 24" wide. Just recieved it and once put together, the actual width is over 25"... very disappointing since this was sized perfectly and no longer fits the space I need it to.

The closet itself is an excellent product, sturdy, made of good materials, and easy to install. However, we ordered 10 closets on the first order, and there were a number of parts missing and 5 of the bottom pieces had the correct color on the outside of the box, but contained pieces of a different color. There problem seemed to be in their shipping department. Maybe they need better supervision/oversight in that department. We ordered another SimplyNeu closet and it came in correct.

The shelving came in 3 separate boxes. After reading the instructions and beginning the assembly it began to come together relatively quickly. It seems to be a sturdy shelving unit.
