I was surprised by the quality, considering that it is particle board. The unit is well constructed, I had no issues with fitting parts together, instructions were clear, and I'm very pleased with it. I was surprised that the drawers came fully constructed (and caulked!). They fit well and glide smoothly. It is perfect for my closet remodel!

This product comes in seven boxes and one of them is EXTREMELY large and heavy. Be home to receive this delivery or find a field of boxes on your front lawn. Assembly is not easy. To space the gliders on the cabinet vertically, there is a complex calculation based on the size of the drawers, and the actual size of the drawers is nowhere near what the packing list indicates! (Use the drawer-size on the packing list--NOT the actual drawer size to do your spacing calculation.) The WORST part of this is that the drawer glides need to be broken apart (drawer portion vs cabinet portion) and the drawers need to be drilled with holes to accommodate the glides. I paid a handy man to do this work, and he was very confused by the whole thing. Almost need a carpenter to put this together. I would suggest Home Depot produce a video on assembly of this piece.
All in all (and it's still not fully assembled on January 17 despite the fact that it was delivered the Wednesday before Christmas) it seems to be a very high quality piece of furniture; however, I need to reserve judgement until I see how the drawers fit together. Getting a team of people to help me this weekend. There is absolutely nothing simple about SIMPLYNeu.

Our installation was a little tricky bc of space problems. We had to assemble it in the closet while standing it up. That made it a little harder to do, but it was not anyone’s fault. And I love the result! Very well made, the drawers glide beautifully! Highly recommend!!!

I was very pleased with this unit. My wife wished additional closet storage. We selected this SimplyNew unit because it matched our closet interior and provided the storage space needed. Having read other reviews I was prepared for the bulk of the seven boxes. It was securely packaged and all parts in good condition. The instructions are well written but I suggest reading through them completely before starting assembly. There is a suggested order of assembly but component assembly is not necessarily found in that same order. I found all parts well marked and was very pleased with how it went together.

The instructions were very confusing. I have put together many of this type of furniture I never had so much trouble following the directions or made so many mistakes. In addition once assembled it was very flimsy and I had to reinforce the shelves to give the structure more stability.

1. Liked the color of the cabinets. I ordered 2 one for my closet and one for my bride.2. Directions were not all that good so you better be a decent structural person. 3. For what we paid for the cabinets I would have expected a better quality product. MDF over pressboard. Hope it lasts! 4. When I received the product I was shorted one drawer. Good news is the paper work I received gave me a number to call and I received the drawer I needed within the week.

Very unstable.
This unit looks great and there is plenty of storage, but for the price, I can't believe how unstable this unit is as a stand alone. There should be a backing board to stabilize the lateral movement and to prevent the shelves (which simply rest on metal pins and are free to slide about) from moving backwards. The manufacturer could have added some routing on the shelves to mate with the metal pins and prevent movement backwards or forwards. I had to round up some metal L brackets to secure the top to the wall, and still the middle wiggles around quite a bit. It is secure enough with the L brackets to prevent falling over so I won't bother with forming my own backing board. Overall, there are some good points about this product such as sturdy drawers and slides and plenty of space, but there are also some engineering omissions that bring my rating down to 3 stars.

I chose to install this on the side of the closet inset in the wall and it looks great. Before it was installed it was very unstable so I would never recommend to use it standing alone you will have to brace it to the wall. The material is beautiful and looks good. I love the color I picked “Nutmeg”
