The Black Palm Grater is slick little kitchen gadget that looks good and works well. It fits neatly in the palm of my hand and with the finer grating plate made easy work of grating cheddar cheese for the dinner salad. The grated product (cheese in this case) is captured by the attached plastic cover, there no need to get one more dish dirty at meal time. The grater holds enough to make it especially useful of small demand jobs. Since there is usually only two for meals at my house this is the right tool most of the time. I like it a lot and recommend it.

Excellent grater that really does fit in your palm. It comes with three types of blades - slices, shredded and super fine shredded.
The overall plastic opens to get the cheese out. You can also store the extra blades in there when not in use. And then the blades themselves just pop in and out. Very easy to operate.
I use this on salads. Especially for the special cheeses that you can only buy in brick form. Since it fits in your hand, you can shred just what you need.
This is not a gadget to shred multiple cups of cheese. This is made more for minimal amounts, when needed.

For me, this is optimal for camping. It provides me with 3 sharp blade options for shredding, and peeling in a small container. When I got it home I tried it with some Parmesan and found that the blades are nice and sharp. It does what it is supposed to and made very nice shavings of cheese for my penne.
I removed a star because I found the hand basket to be a little oddly shaped and slippery. Secondly the space for grating and shredding is small, about 1" wide by 3" tall. So it will take some effort to grate for your needs.
I did like the hand basket so I could pregrate the cheese and had a nice serving implement.

This is a very handy little grater for the kitchen. It fits very nicely in the palm of your hand, and is very stable during the grating / peeling process. It has 3 different attachments which allow you to grate, shred or peel food items. It works great for grating cheese, and for peeling vegetables. It is easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. You can just put it in the dishwasher top rack for cleaning. It is a great little kitchen tool.

This is a good little grater for those small jobs, like fresh parmesan for your pesto, and has a handy little compartment to collect the shreds. No need to drag out and clean a big grater for just a little bit. The zester is a little iffy. I've never actually used one like it, so the jury is still out. The peeler is sharp and works both directions for the lefties as you might expect. It also works as a slicer for small items, but my problem with this accessory is that as the collection cup fills you can't see where you're peeling. I'm afraid of peeling hand. But it's easy to use, easy to switch blades, and easy to clean. A handy addition to the small tools drawer.

This little hand sized grater/peeler does a good job. I grated up some Swiss cheese and I liked the results. I peeled some carrots and it was a bit fun. All three cutter inserts will fit inside the cover for storing in a drawer. I think this would be a great tool for the camping/picnic basket. The well made blade inserts are of stainless steel on a plastic frame. After several months use I will know how the plastic holds up.

Not to many people purchase a grater from Home Depot. Saw this and thought I would give it a try. has two sizes for grating and one slicer blade. If your grating small amounts this grater is for you. Onion, garlic, no problem. The only negative is the storage area for the grated product, Have to empty it out if doing a large amount, but for grating a small amount for a salad, pizza perfect.

This is a nice little grater. It fits well in the palm of your hand and is easy to use. The different blades are easy to change without any instructions required. You need to be careful when washing it by hand as the little grater blades are sharp. Clean up is pretty easy though. This little grater is good for small jobs, I would not want to use it for a 5 lb brick of cheese though.

This black palm grater looks good and works decently. I like that the different grates can be stored inside the unit when not in use. I didn't give it 5 stars because I dropped it and it cracked on my concrete floors. Other than that it works great and is still usable. The contour of the cheese holder fits in my hand nicely and gives me a firm grip. Worth the price.
