AnswersI HAD THIS PRESSURE WASHER LESS THAN 2 YEARS, STILL UNDER WARRANTY AND THE CARBURETOR HAD TO BE REPLACED! IT COST ME $100.00... 60.00 LABOR, 40.00 CARBURETOR. HONDA WOULDN'T REPLACE THE CARBURETOR! THEY WON'T REPLACE ANYTHING CONNECTED TO THE FUEL SYSTEM! I USED GAS STABILIZER WITH THIS PRESSURE WASHER, BUT HONDA'S CARBURETOR GOT GUMMED UP... THE SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC SAID! I HAD A BRIGGS AND STRATTON ENGINE (OVER 12 YEARS) ON MY PREVIOUS (NOW STOLEN) PRESSURE WASHER AND I NEVER HAD A CARBURETOR PROBLEM LIKE THIS HONDA ENGINE!

AnswersThis us a great machine. I am a retired contractor, had the commercial version with upgraded commercial pump and engine. Sold when I retired along with some duplicate tools. Didn't realize how much I missed it. Bought this Simpson unit. It's been the #1 rated gas unit for a couple of years. It's got all the power you can handle. I was taking a break after an hour. You dont need to get that close to work. If you don't like the length one from either home depot or from Simpson. I got a 6 ft extension to clean under 2 story deck, and windows . Like $30 they also have a gutter "j" attachment, a 10ft extender pole for 2 story homes ($143) and a 3600 psi power nozzle. Take care of the engine and pump, this should last 10 years. My commercial unit Rated 3600 psi lasted 15 years. Sold it and accessories for $400. Don't skimp for a few bucks. This machine is well worth the money. Even if you spend another $25-30 to get an extension as the parts are same as the contractor grade unit. You want to get to high places, under over hangs? Spend $30 on the 3600 psi nozzle. Its focused.

AnswersNO. Uses a siphon hose. The one hat comes wit he washer is small and the one you can buy off the shelf is better as it has a larger diameter.

AnswersSide mounted. Using the choke, it was actually pretty easy to start. Make sure you are holding the sprayer in the open/spraying position with one hand, then pull the starter with the other hand. Sounds awkward, but it really isn't.

I love this thing. It has the power needed to do whatever pressure washing needs around the house. It cranks in a few pulls just have to make sure choke isn't pulled all the way out. Easy to maintenance and does a great clean on my driveway and fence. I definitely recommend and would buy again if needed.
Pump pin hole problem

After one year of use (5 hours run time), the pump housing developed pin holes and all the pressure escapes. Tried to resolve this obvious manufacturing failure with Simpson but the pump is only under warranty for one year. Noticed that this is a recurring problem with other reviews on the Simpson website. Buyer beware - this is a disposable pressure washer - you'll need another one every year.
Simpson refused to post my review - I don't think they want this manufacturing failure to come to light.

So far so good. This is my first pressure washer so I’m still getting used to it. I did some cleans on my some of my fence and it worked very well. I also used it with floor accessory to clean my driveway and side walk. As a first timer it took me sometime to figure out how to start it and keep it going, but I think I’m doing fine now that I overcame that.

Bought this a few months ago and used it to power wash my deck. I can't get over how well it worked. We were talking about redoing the entire deck, thank god we didn't! It looks brand new. We did replace the railings though.

I've bought this pressure washer about a month ago and have used to two or three times. It's all the power I need for residential use. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that if you pull the choke all the way out then it will not start, but will start on second pull if choke is pulled 3/4 of way out. It will start on first pull once engine is warmed up. Does not leak on any of the water connections. Use pump saver everytime so no problem with pump as of yet. I would recommend. Make sure not to run engine for more than a few minutes while not spraying water otherwise it will run hot. I added a longer spray nozzle to operate surface cleaner without bending back.

Enjoying my Simpson power washer with the Honda engine. Excellent power and cleaning capabilities. My only criticism is the low handle which makes it a little difficult for taller people. I like that the handle can be removed for easy off season storage

Very happy with pressure washer so far. Started on second pull most of the time.
The water hose attachment (#1 in the photo) is cumbersome to attach to say the least.
I had to purchase a hose extender in order to attach the hose in a timely and efficient manner.
