Can I drill the hole in the top bigger to insert a solor light and tack the sides to my 4x4 post?

I want to put a light in the top going up my ramp,
Asked by: DIYER
If you are careful. I would drill sides that I wanted to nail. Driving a nail through the plastic will probably split the plastic but not sure.

What's with the hole on top?

Is there a hole on the top? The picture that looks like a drawing looks like the hole is capped, is it? Also, is the plastic strong enough if hte wood is not angled on the top like that? Or would it feel hollow on top and would I be better off with a solid cap? Thanks
Asked by: Adam
hole is for a nail or screw. post can be flat, but cap is hollow an will fit either flat or angle cut.
