Questions & Answers

I want to use these for setting fence post below ground. my wood is PT. should be good right?

Asked by: Angrypelican
The EPB44A has the standard G90 galvanized finish which provides a low level of corrosion protection and is recommended for dry conditions and limited treated woods. We also offer several base with the Z-MAX or HDG finishes which provide a medium level of protection. as well as stainless steel which provides a high level of protection. Please see the Corrosion Solutions section of our website (https://www.strongtie.com/solutions/corrosion) for complete corrosion information and to determine the recommended finish for your condition. Thank you!

No. The base is 3.56" wide and will accommodate a finished 4x4 (or two 2x's with a 1/2" spacer) for a max material width of 3.5".
