The Designer is responsible for concrete design and specifying the anchor bolt type, length and embedment (which would affect how far from the edge it is to be installed). Thank you!
We can only support the installation as designed/tested. The APVB66 is only rated for wood-to-concrete applications. Thank you!
The APVB88 measures 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" sized for a nominal 8x8 post, but we do not have a base measuring 7 3/4 x 7 3/4. Thank you!
The ZMAX galvanization with a black powder coat offers extra corrosion resistance for exterior and treated-wood applications. Thank you!
It is up to the Designer/Engineer of Record to specify the appropriate connector for the specific application based on framing layout, demand loads, local building codes, etc., but if it is an existing concrete deck, the APVB66 may be an option. Thank you!
We can only support the installation of our products as designed/tested; in the case of the APVB66 that would be anchored to concrete carrying a 6x6 wood post. For beam to post connections, the APVL/APVT straps may be an option. Thank you!
Just set the 5.5 width between the upright portion and you'll have no problems. My posts are 6x6 nominal; (5.5 x 5.5 actual) and overhang by about 1/4 inch on each side anyway.
It would be up to the Designer/Engineer of Record to specify the anchor bolt type, length and embedment as there are several factors to consider (cast-in-place or retrofit, concrete strength, location, local building codes, etc.). Thank you!
