Product Overview

The Titen HD anchor is a high-strength screw anchor for concrete and masonry. It is designed for optimum performance in both cracked and uncracked concrete. The high-strength, easy-to-install Titen HD anchor has been tested and shown to provide outstanding performance in cracked and uncracked concrete under both static and seismic loading conditions. The self-undercutting, non-expansion characteristics of the Titen HD anchor make it ideal for structural applications, even at reduced edge distances and spacings. Recommended for permanent dry, interior non-corrosive environments or temporary outdoor applications.
  • Qualified for static and seismic loading conditions
  • Thread design undercuts to efficiently transfer the load to the base material
  • No special drill bit required; designed to install using standard-sized ANSI tolerance drill bits
  • Testing shows the Titen HD installs in concrete with 50% less torque than competitor anchors
  • Hex-washer head requires no separate washer and provides a clean installed appearance
  • Carbon steel Titen HD utilizes a specialized heat-treating process that creates tip hardness for better cutting without compromising the ductility
  • Zinc-plated carbon steel anchor can be used for temporary exterior applications
  • Size: 3/8 in. x 5-in
  • Caution: Use a Titen HD screw anchor one time only — installing the anchor multiple times may result in excessive thread wear and reduce load capacity

Questions & Answers

6Questions6Answers

Can these be used for outdoor applications or do I need galvanized?

Asked by regulardude May 5, 2020
1
Answer

The carbon steel Titen HD anchors are only recommended for dry, interior, non-corrosive environments or temporary outdoor applications. For exterior applications, please see the Stainless-Steel Titen HD. Type 316 stainless steel is the optimal choice for applications in corrosive or extreme environments such as salt water, or when chemical or corrosive solutions are present. Type 304 is a cost-effective solution for less extreme applications where the environment may be wet, moist or damp. Thank you!

Use these to mount my rogue rml4 rack to the floor through three sheets of plywood and horse stall mat. As simple as drilling a 3/8 inch pilot hole and ratcheting the bolts in. Plugged each hole with some silicone sealant to prevent wicking moisture from under the foundation which was drilled completely through into the dirt. Rack is rock solid with no movement at all even with a heavy bag hanger and 120 lb heavy bag

We use these for a wide spectrum of concrete fastening, these are the only fasteners we will use. Always dependable and can be removed and reapplied and maintain strength. Had to have them engineer tested for a project held up to 700lb straight pull in 100+ year red brick could have gone higher but e only required 700.
