I do not want the waste water to be used as the flush water for the next flush. I want the waste water to just drain to waste. Is this possible?
Asked by: ToiletUser
the waste water of the sink goes into the overflo tube, which goes to the bowl not the tank. so there will be soapy water in your bowl after you are done.

is it safe to brush your teeth with the water from this faucet?

Yes, the water comes from the bowl fill line. That's the small line that goes from the fill valve to the tank overflow that's used to refill the bowl after the flush. It's fresh water straight from the valve.

its plastic? for $129? where is the Cost Facts Label with material, manufacturing, labor, etc, listing all costs involved to justify this price?

Shop around. I t is found cheaper elsewhere. Gee- i got mine at a yard sale for $5.00! Seller said it splashed water everywhere-- and all they would have to do is just close their fill line a bit to slow down the pressure! Some people with no common sense should not be allowed to own property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Love This I absolutely love this sink. It does everything I wanted it to do. My only problem is with the 'feel/look' of it. It is light weight plastic and makes me wonder a little how sturdy it is. Over all we love it and it is a great conversation piece. It comes on 2-3 seconds after the toilet is flushed giving you plenty of time to lower the seat and get soap on your hands. So far we have been using it about 6 weeks and don't have a problem with splashing water on the walls and did not have to put up a backing to protect the walls. The soap sits on the side of the sink and the towel hangs beside the sink. Only when the grandkids come and use a LOT of soap do I notice the cloudy soapy look in the bowl water; so for now the grandkids are always remembering to wash their hand after a trip to the bathroom. It was installed very quickly and without special tools and worked the first time tried!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting concept The concept and operation is good. The instructions were not clear and the faucet stem leaked, even when teflon tape was applied on the threads (though it did slow the rate of leakage). When reestablishing the water supply, the valve should be monitored for the appropriate amount of flow. If the pressure is too high, the water splashes out of the basin. The waste water is returned to the toilet tank and may cause some murkiness in the water supplied to the toilet because of soap residue. The good thing is that even with the questionable instructions and parts, the mechanism worked and any leakage was returned to the toilet. It does provide a viable solution to toilets that do not have a basin or sink nearby. Hence, the recommendation - it is better than any alternative I have seen so far, but its price is rather high and does not really represent a true value. If someone else comes up with something better, I may want to try it. Otherwise, you have a limited number of consumers who are offered few alternatives to a neat concept.

Works great! We get 54 seconds water flow. Easy to install. Husband used a dremel to shave off excess plastic in front & back to adapt it to perfectly fit our existing toilet tank.

I can recommend this sink IF there is existing toilet in small space AND you do not mind it being off center to get to flush lever or if the lever is further down the side than mine which is at the top of the tank. When I put it on toilet and centered it, it covered the flush lever. I could move it to touching the tank to flush, but then the right side stuck out beyond the tank. This product is more affordable than what I describe below. I returned it to Home Depot and got refund. I could not find a toilet with sink so ordered this product. Since I needed a new toilet for a former small closet and was looking for one that this product would fit, I found the Caroma Profile Smart 305 Easy Height Round Bowl in White online as no local store carried this high end brand. By the time I paid for the toilet and shipping which was only two states away, it was $500. Then plumber and codes requirements boosted the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Company forgot to mention something important about this product... This is a genius product., but the description misses something. Home Depot should mention that the water turn-on is TOUCHLESS and no batteries are needed ever.
