Nice starter saw. Light enough to travel. Big enough to rip sheet stock. With a good 60 tooth blade this saw cuts very well. It does take a dado stack. The stand is solid. Has a few cons.. fence works but needs your full attention when setting up cut. No dust collection at all (I use a cheap harbour freight bag). And miter slots are 5/8" T slot not standard 1" miter track. It's a good powerful saw based on a 10" circular saw so no soft start. As is out of the box it will get most jobs knocked out quickly. Nothing to do with the saw itself but Skil/Bosch no longer is offering the dado insert kit so YOU will have to fabricate your own zero tolerance and dado inserts if you chose. They are not the usual 1/2" or 1/4" variety they are a very thin 1/8" . I used 1/8" hard board and 1/4" MDF laminated together with epoxy then sanded down to match saw top (see pics) . T slot slabs (piece miter gauge is screwed to) are offered by Skil so you can make your own jigs and sleds.

A few of issues with the saw. The throat plate is not level with the rest of the table and not adjustable. The blade height moves when the saw is turned on. A few times the bevel lock would not stay clamped. Used this saw to make kitchen cabinets. The issues mentioned really on an issue making rabbet joints for drawer fronts and bottoms.

Perfect for the small project enthusiast. Attaching the saw to the stand is a breeze. Saw is lightweight, no huffing and puffing to get it on the stand. The stand folds flat for non-intrusive storage while the saw fits easily on a shelf. I chose this one also for the extra wide fence placement capability, the right side of the table extends and locks. Not easy, due to the lite weight of the machine, but I did send through a half sheet of 3/4" plywood, lengthwise, by myself.

I purchased this saw based on a YouTube video recommendation. Since it wasn’t available at my local Home Depot i took advantage of the free shipping and had it delivered to my house. UPS delivered it on schedule and the box arrived in very good condition. Assemble instructions are straight forward and it took about 90 minutes to setup and make slight adjustments to the fence to get it aligned properly. As reviewers have stated, I also ordered a fine-tooth blade, however I found the supplied blade was sufficient for my cutting needs. I ripped several 2X4 and the saw preformed faultlessly. The 15amp motor easily ripped eight-foot-long stock and didn’t bog down. So far I extremely pleased with this buy and would recommend this saw to anyone with a limited budget.

Great Table Saw
This is a great addition to any workshop – after using this to build a media center this weekend, I’m just sad I didn’t spring for a table saw several projects ago. Out of the box, assembly is relatively easy & straightforward. You will need to allow yourself a few minutes to get it up & running, but it’s not bad at all. This saw packs plenty of power. I ran a variety of boards through it & it handled them all with ease. I imagine this saw will be more than adequate for any DIY project a homeowner takes on. The adjustments are all clearly marked and make precise cutting easy, even for beginners. I found the rip fence particularly helpful. I do have one complaint on that though – the handle that locks the rip fence into place curves out at the end (see photo), making it wider than the fence itself. Unless it’s almost completely locked into place (once it’s locked the curved piece sits below the edge of the table), it bumps into whatever you’re lining up to cut, pushing it out by ¼” or so. It’s not a huge deal & it only affects boards that hang over the edge of the table by at least 4 inches, but adjusting the rip fence would be easier for those boards if that handle was flush with the rest of the fence. As it is, you have to account for the width of that curved part of the handle when lining up a cut, or else once you lock it into place you’ll be off by ¼” or so. Other than that, no complaints on the adjustments – it’s a really well thought out design. The rear and side extensions are also great features, making it easy to accommodate large boards. The blade guard seems a little cumbersome, but I’m sure that’s for safety reasons. The folding stand is very sturdy & makes it easier to transport and store. All in all, great saw with an excellent set of features - highly recommend!

Good value
Well-designed machine. The table is slightly warped right to left, but good enough for most jobs. Had to go through the entire process of aligning the blade (it was skewed from the factory). Powerfull, cuts well once aligned. Do not like the slots, they aren't the standard 3/4 inch. Bars fitting these slots should be available as accessories for making jigs.

Powerful and efficient!
This is a terrific, compact saw. I bought this to replace a Craftsman and the difference between the two is noticeable. The unit is powerful and efficient. It's easy to use and the small size means I can get my work done quickly. It was easy to assemble and fits neatly in the corner of my garage.

Very sturdy stand and easy setup. Only down side is the table surface could be smoother. Tool storage is a nice touch.

DIY Tool ONLY
This is a DIY tool only. If you don't expect professional results you will not be disappointed. The miter guide is flimsy and barely useable. The Fence is awkward to adjust and does not provide an accurate square cut. That being said, the saw that I received was easy to set up. all the adjustments were spot on out of the box. I have used the saw quite a bit, and it has done a good job of what I've asked it to do.

nearly a good saw
the saw overall is fine to use in the garage and small home projects, but miter gage and groves are not worth anything they need to be improved, like a heavier type metal and a longer tounge.

Good table saw for the money
Good little table saw. Wish it had standard slots to accept different jigs and a dust collection system but hey, for the price it's more than adequate.

Great saw
Great saw for DIY. It adjusts to 24 inches. Has a place to store all the attachments. The stand is great, easy to attach the saw and very steady, no movement at all. Worth every penny.

You get what you pay for. But in this case, although I can complain about the plastic base that I'm sure keeps the price down, the saw works very well makes nice even cuts. It has enough power not to lag even when ripping two-by-fours. The money I saved by cutting in window jams and molding in a new room more than covered the price of the saw.

I have a full woodworking shop, but needed a small on-site table saw for a family member's remodel. Unpacking and setting up the product, the product looked OK for the intended use. Then examining saw's workings we found a fatal flaw. The jack screw that runs the blade/motor up and down is a total fail on Skilsaw's part. The shaft is flimsy, not straight and the motor body journals were over sized. This slop makes the blade lean left and right as the blade is raised. Totally unacceptable. Yea, it is the cheapest thing on the market, but why would a Skil even put their name on this stuff. Without plugging it in, it went back in the box and thank you HD for having such a no hassle return policy. I own lots of Skilsaw tools, the old stuff still purring after decades of use. Yes, you get what you pay for.

Good saw for home projects
Saw works great and easy to set up. The two issues I have is the fence accuracy is not good I tried to adjust but it is still off about 1/8" and I wish it had wheels on one side.

Tabs in the miter slots? Why????
Durable, sturdy stand. Table extensions larger than others in this range. Good, accurate and 90 degree fence. Very hard start but quiet and smooth once running. 0 and 45 stops have to be loosed from underneath because of bendable plastic face. No dust port. Why put tabs in miter slots? Inexplicable! And there are openings in the slots. Plus the slots are wider at the tabs. As silly as this is, others in this price range are the same. I cut off the tabs with a Dremel disc. Miter gauge wiggles in the slots. Maybe a wood runner will help. Even with these shortcomings, it's the best saw in this price range.
