AnswerI don't have a quad outlet, so I can't tell for sure. Possibly, if you remove the quad outlet cover. It would only cover 2 of the plugs though & if you removed the cover the bare wall would be visible. Not a pleasing look in my opinion. It fits great over a standard 2 plug outlet with cover.
Can you plug a microwave oven into this?

AnswerIt probably depends on the microwave. I would check out your microwave safety instrucitons. Most of them advise to connect only to a properly grounded outlet.

I found this extension cord with the wall plate while looking for an extension cord for a different area in my new apartment home. I didn't realize anyone else disliked the look of plugs coming from the outlet as much as I & there was a need for the wall plate. The wall plate makes for a much neater look.
