Velvet to Berber Charcoal 48 in. x 72 in. 12 lbs. Weighted Blanket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket from Sleep Philosophy I’ve heard a lot about weighted blankets and I’ve wondered if they were all they were cracked up to be. I have chronic pain and it causes me to have difficulties sleeping. I toss and turn, waking dozens of times every night. I decided to try the Velvet to Berber Weighted Blanket from Sleep Philosophy and see how it worked for me. I was really impressed with how lovely the blanket felt when I removed it from the bag. One side is luscious velvet in a beautiful shade of blue. The other side is listed as B rber, but it’s what I have always known as Sherpa. It’s soft and wooly, cream colored and lovely to touch. The blanket weighs 12 pounds, which I have researched and found to be one of the lighter blankets. I remade my bed using the weighted blanket and settled in for the night. I read at night and so I did that at first. I noticed that the blanket was definitely heavier than my usual blanket, but figured that it would take getting used to. I turned out the lights and went to sleep. Off and on that night, I would awaken, go to change position, and notice how much more difficult it was to move around. Again, I recognized the need to be patient and then adjusted myself and went back to sleep. That night was not fun. Nor was the next night. The third night was no better. It was difficult for me to move around because of chronic pain that made moving the blanket difficult. One hand is due to be operated on and it couldn’t grab the blanket very well, so I gave in at this point and offered the blanket to my kiddo. She took it with almost a reverence about her and immediately went to bed. When I asked her how she did with it, she absolutely loved it. Go figure! She slept like a baby and never moved the whole night. And she loves the snuggly feel to it as well. If not for the issues I have, I think I would have been happy with it as well. I'm glad at least she was able to enjoy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this 10b weighted blanket about a month ago and I love it! I use it on the couch for napping and watching TV in the evenings since it's a little small for the bed. It's perfect for the couch and feeling cozy! The 10lbs is perfect for this. You can feel the weight of the blanket but it's not restrictive or oppressive at all. This blanket is great quality and is super warm. I could not see using this blanket in the summer.  The fabric is durable and super soft. One side is velvety and the other is sherpa material. The weight is evenly distributed throughout the blanket with sewn squares to keep all the beads from piling up in one  corner of the blanket. This blanket is spot wash only. I will say I got a chocolate stain on the velvety side and I was able to get it out completely by blotting and scrubbing using laundry detergent and water. I was impressed since I thought for sure I had ruined the blanket. Overall, I'm super happy with this blanket!

It is beautiful on both sides...one gray and plush and the other white and fluffy. The weight is perfect and makes me very comfortable. The blanket is very warm too. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great blanket for winter snuggles and comfort. The outside is a nice soft velvet type material and the inside is very fluffy and warm. While the packaging says each square section is sewn shut it does seem like the middle part of the blanket has a heavier concentration of the weighted beads. I was a little worried that the blanket would be too heavy when I was taking it out of the bag but when it is evenly distributed it doesn't feel heavy at all. I would note that you will not be able to wash this blanket but overall this seems like a solid and quality blanket for the home that looks as good as it feels!

it's a christmas gift for my grandson but it's definately fifteen pounds and the cover is very soft and comforting.

This blanket is gorgeous and so soft. However, I don't feel it should be referred to as a weighted blanket. It was extremely light and the "weights" weren't centered. Returned. :(

Great item. I purchased this for my wife as a Mother’s Day gift and it was her favorite over the gift cards for coffee or her expensive perfumes. She loves the comfort and weight to this blanket. So glad I got it for her. Definitely worth the purchase.
