Worked great as long as there was sun hitting the solar panel. Solar panel didn’t store any energy so it didn’t work at night or if it was cloudy. It would also quit working if you just blocked the sun from the panel. Returned item to the store.

Easy to ensemble. Decorative. Fun item for sunny days. But, on not so sunny days, it will be better to have back up battery, to save all the solar energy. Because the fountain wan't work, without direct sun. Other than that, I will recommend to anyone I know.

I needed to add a water feature to my Butterfly...
I needed to add a water feature to my Butterfly Garden in order to qualify it as an official “Wildlife Habitat”and this was the perfect fit. It’s everything that was promised and the solar panel works just as described. It only works when the sun is hitting the solar panel. I was worried it might arrive damaged; but it was so well packaged that a crystal glass would have made it unblemished. I’ll be buying another as gift….ms rte

Smaller than it looks in the picture
Couldn't find the dimensions for this thing on the website, so I had no idea what it was going to look like. So, I get the package today, and it's maybe 15 inches wide. Way too small for the area where I was planning on putting it. Very disappointed.

Sorry about that. For anyone else that needs them the assembled dimensions are 14.5"L x 13"W x 7"H. We will ask Home Depot to add the dimensions to the Product Overview. -Smart Solar

It doesn’t store energy. If the sun goes behind a cloud it doesn’t work. If it’s a cloudy day, it doesn’t work. I would not pay $70.00 for it, it’s not worth it.

I was disappointed that I did not realize that the fountain would only run while the sun was shining on the solar panel. If you stand in front of the panel it will shut off. So as the sun moves the fountain will only run part of the day. No battery backup.

Love it. But remember that the solar pump/ fountain works...
Love it. But remember that the solar pump/ fountain works only when there’s steady sunshine falling on the cells. Even a bit of cloudy sky or clouds intermittently covering the sunshine will make the fountain stop functioning. The fountain is very cute. The set up of the frog and the pump needed a bit of fiddling to get the right fit. Highly recommend.
