Product Overview
The Mahayana Two-Tier Solar Fountain has been designed for outdoor use. The pump drives water up through the fountain head and then sprinkles down into the resin bowl so that the water is constantly re-cycled. Operate daily and use the battery technology to provide consistent performances even with cloudy weather, or turn off to charge battery during the day for night time use. The battery will fully charge in one sunny day and will then have capacity for up to 6 hours of operation.

Beautiful fountain.
The fountain is beautiful and easy to assemble. However, I had a problem with the water flow from the second tier. The foam piece that is supposed to fit over the hole in the top tier would not seal and keep the water in the top tier. Needs an adhesive to stick in place. Works great now.

This does not work very well I have it...
This does not work very well I have it in full sun and only drizzles water. Also, it removes the black stain or paint whatever it is and looks white now. I have only had it about 4 weeks. Don't have the box anymore but would really like to return it. I waited about 6 months before this was back in stock. Very disappointing!

Sorry to hear that. If the flow is not as expected and the fountain is in direct make sure that the tube under the solar panel is securely inserted into the bottom of the panel. If it’s not then it will make it seem very weak. If you can easily lift the panel out then that confirms the issue. To correct it squeeze the pump and panel together. Regarding the paint you may be able to request touch up paint if it’s in stock. Please contact us by email:

Love the look of it although, Pump is not working...
Love the look of it although, Pump is not working or charging. Partial sunlight not enough for this fountain to run or charge.

Unfortunately this fountain does need direct sun to run the pump or charge the battery. Once the battery is charged then it can run in any weather or at night. If the fountain is not in direct sun but you have a different area of your yard that does get direct sun that is not filtered by trees then you can set the switch to 'O' (off) and place the top tier in the sun to charge. then place it back into the bowl and turn it on. -SLHG

Attractive but there are 2 problems: the pump is too weak to circulate the water vigorously and the amount of water the fountain holds requires refilling a couple times per day. I would not recommend this product.

Love the look, but doesn't hold up to outside use
Bought this a little less than a year ago, and the base is already showing a lot of wear--cracked and very weathered. Brought in the solar pump for the winter, but the base just didn't hold up to the elements.
Pretty disappointed. I love the style and it functioned well for one summer. The fountain needs to be made of a better, more weather resistant material.

We do have this listed in the product's description: "Do not leave fountain outside in winter.
