What is the best way to brace the walls to prevent break out of the concrete?

You are building concrete wall. It needs to be braced every 6 to 8 ft. with vertical bracing that has kick backs to the ground. There is commercial bracing available from many construction supply houses. Concrete is heavy. Do not rely on the plastic ties. Their purpose is to hold the panels together, not to hold the wall up. It is wise to screw plywood to the corners because they are a natural weak spot. This should also have kick backs to the ground to keep your wall straight.

These say 60 inch. Is that the tallest they can be stacked? Is there a limit?

The risk is in a "blowout." The higher your wall, the more hydrostatic pressure at the bottom from the concrete above. The job I did years ago, had one minor blowout when the concrete delivery co, with no prior experience in these walls, refused to lay the concrete pump truck hose along and on the top of the wall per the instructions. This practice is to prevent a long elevated hose from dumping concrete from maybe 20-30 feet in the air into the cavity you are filling with great velocity and force. (Concrete, liquid rock, is very heavy). After that blowout, luckily on the outside of the form, not inside the cellar, the driver braced off the leak and back filled it by hand and then followed the recommended procedure.

No. The foam on the outside is used as insulation. You attach exterior walls such as siding or brick as you would on woodframe house.

I read that Insulated Concrete Forms are more suited to warm climates where the heat is transferred through the ICF to the ground. I will build in the North East in a very cold region. From what I've seen the two main competing systems are Insulated Concrete Forms and Structural Insulated panels. Google SIPs vs ICFs to see the debates. ICFs have a large thermal mass in the concrete that seems to offer benefits in more moderate climates where the outside temperature will be both above and below room temperature every day for a significant portion of the year. SIPs seem to offer a higher r-value for the money. Because of this, ICFs seem to be favored in warm climates and SIPs in colder climates. ICFs offer some unique benefits in terms of strength and sound reduction. SIPs come with plywood sheathing on the outside which can simplify attaching sheetrock and siding. Each system is available in varying levels of insulation, so you can make either one work for your climate. You can also use both systems in the same house, e.g., ICFs below ground and SIPs above.

Not even the chip board pallet they ship them on. The foundation forming part is OK. The finishing of them is problematic. Anything you surface the foam with will have to be glued on right. That union is no stronger than the foam itself. I had problems with lath flaking of the foam surface before I applied stucco. So, what to do? They say you can use spray foam as an adhesive. The best no doubt, but the foam forms themselves have very thin sections that are fragile. Will return to the traditional method of wood forms for foundations moving forward.

It saved me some money, and we found putting them together as we built the wall was time-saving and less struggle with the rebar. I recommend this type of ICF over any others we tried. Rated 1 out of 5 by from The blocks themselves were designed well, but when it comes... The blocks themselves were designed well, but when it comes to making corners, they become very flimsy. After going to their website and looking at the installation guides I thought I was all set. I spoke with a representative and they informed me that in my case no bracing should be needed. I still braced at the bottom and along long walls. When pouring the walls, one corner gave out. The corners need to be redesigned or the directions given by their representatives and online need to be more clear when it comes to bracing to avoid failures.
