When I brought out the Green Ratchet X Tie Down Straps to use, I was really impressed with the re-useable eco-friendly case to store them afterwards. Everyone knows how inconvenient and cumbersome it is to deal with multiple ratchet straps and untangling them before use. I normally wrap a rubber band around straps to avoid untangling and unknotting them, but this manufacturer designed a package to not only store the straps but the case itself is also designed to hang on a wall for easy access, too. In addition, the straps and ratchet are very sturdy and the ratchet operates very smoothly when securing items by the straps. I won't buy anything else but SmartStraps in the future.
I have had SO many ratchet straps over the years and they always seemed to get tangled up and misplaced. This set comes with an amazing case that not only allows me to track of them but also hangs on the wall so that I can keep them organized. All this in a fairly tight space. Absolutely love the big rubber grips for clamping down on the straps as well. Bright green of the straps is another plus.
The 14 foot Tactical Ratchet Straps by Smart Straps are the best ratchet straps that I have ever owned. These ratchet straps are rated for a 500 pound safe working load and a 1,500 pound break strength. Many competitors do not have any working loads or break strength specs listed. Some nice features include a built in loop for tying back onto itself, velcro sewed into the end for keeping the excess strap neat for storage or while in use. The ratchet end section is approximately 16" long so it can be tied onto itself. The long section of the strap has a loop sewn in for extra connection versatility. The ratchet teeth are slightly finer with a higher tooth count compared to other straps that I have used, which gives you better adjustment of your load. Overall these are great ratchet straps and the reusable storage case keeps them neat and orderly taking up minimal space.
This is an amazing 4-pack of Ratchet strap tie downs that are each 14 foot and are strong enough to hold down 3,000 pounds of cargo. It is stronger and easier to use than standard types of tie-down straps. They come in a great reusable storage / carrying case. They are orange and are perfect for tying down cargo like motorcycles, canoes, lawn equipment, or appliances.
These 10-foot Smart Straps in Orange by RatchetX Tie Down Straps with 1,000 lb. Safe Workload (2-Pack) are a great value for a little under $27.00. The ratchets are nice and big and easy to use. The straps are strong and in vibrant orange so you can keep an eye on them as your driving. The ten foot length is a good length for most average loads that you may me hauling. I bought two of these and recommend them.
These are very nice, smooth working ratcheting straps. A couple of features that are worth mentioning are: the shaft that the strap wraps around as you tighten it up has hex heads on both sides of the outside, so on those occasions that you wrap too much strap around the slotted shaft so that it becomes jammed, you can put pliers or a socket set on that and work it loose. I also really like the Velcro strap that is sewn to the end of the nylon strap so that you can roll up your excess and strap it together. Very handy that!
The RatchetX 4-Pack is an excellent addition to a “Tie-Down” tool box. The strap load rating and 14ft reach make them capable of holding most loads in place for transportation. The strap stitching extends down the straps to ensure strength at the tie-down points. The large hook provides the attachment capacity needed for heavier loads. Also, the strap web size considers the strap reach to ensure tie-down security, as the longer the length between the tie-down points, the more tension gets placed on the strap by the potential load movement. And, the 4-Pack enables a good cross-over capacity on the load to compensate for shifting.
As to the Ratchet and handle, the grip is well designed and solidly built. The handle has a solid feel, but offers a grip material, as opposed to a smooth plastic mode.
Would recommend the Ratchet set for it’s construction, strap length and capacity. Good investment for ensuring load security.
first off, these are the only ratchet straps i’ve owned that came put together. i was pretty pleased with that. not only were they put together but also they have a velco strap that holds the excess fabric. also, the case they come in can be used as a storage container.
i love how big the handles are for ease of operation. additionally, the bright green straps are impossible to miss visually. everything about them is visually pleasing, from the black coating on the hooks to the black hardware in the ratchet itself, and they work great!
I needed a second set of basic straps for my truck and these seemed like a quality 500 lb rated set. They have a standard-sized hook with an oversized ratchet to make it easier to use. The box they came in is very compact and easily stores the two straps. This box then fits under the back seat of my Silverado very nicely. The strap also has a velcro wrap to hold the extra length when storing it or when using them. This is great for when you haul something in the back of your truck and don't want the extra strap flapping all over getting ruined or marking up your items.
Smart Straps, So the boxes all say engineered in the USA Standard Straps, Tow Strap Heavy Duty , Commercial Racket and Tire Bonnet. But they all have a different point of assemble and component supplier. Also make sure you read the print and all packaging is not equal. Ill try to weed all this out.
All the materials seem to be nice in the strap weave and component plating , some are little rough castings but shouldn’t take away from their performance . The gearing seem to be stamped and plated the plastics all seem to be secured well for a good performance. The ratchets all work well as advertised . I wouldn’t go past the work load strength for the one reason of some inconsistency in labeling in reference to Safe work strength and break strength.. That is the commercial ratchet is marked Safe work load of 3300 LB ,Break strength of 10000 lbs but turn the box around and the specs are 5000 -12k break strength. Same with the 3000k Tow strap with a 8k break strength but the back says 5k to 12k break strength . I guess just rely on the lower values and you're hopefully ok. Lastly the straps that come with reusable cases , its just the open case they come packed in getting them back in after use good luck . They do what they claim but beware of their limits and abilities.
10 foot 2 pack 1000 lb work strength, cast ratchet assembly 16 tooth gearing work nice but still for your lighter loads. Orange straps.
So engineered in USA forced and made in, The 14 foot green in Vietnam, the orange Thailand and China , the tow strap India, The Commercial ratchet and tire bonnet China and Thailand,
They are all good values made for specific jobs and should work well in their safe work loads .
