The scrapper slides directly on the surface being cleaned and could catch on any uneven edges, raised boards, etc. Other than that, tilt the blower shovel up a bit and clean the deck.

Plastic parts and cold weather? My Echo blower was also made of plastic parts and it broke after 2 years. Love the battery aspect, I just think these new generation battery tools which consist primarily of plastic parts present a "breakage" issue.

What normally took us 4 hours to complete, only takes 2 hours now. I purchased an extra battery and it will recharge before I can drain the other, so there’s no downtime. Initially I thought that the unit was too heavy until I had a chance to use it, now I appreciate it, as it helps bust up foot pack better. I had a corded toro before and always hated having to plug in, but it lasted through 3 winters. This snapper is built better in both materials and craftsmanship and has a seemingly much stronger motor. I use it at home as well to shovel my decks and 1600 sf back patio. Takes about 10 minutes. Well worth the investment.

I have owned several different snowblowers over the years, but nothing quite like the Snapper XD 12 in. 82-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Snow Blower Shovel with 2Ah Battery and Rapid Charger. Among the different snowblowers that I've owned has been at least one 2 stage battery powered unit, so I feel that I do have some experience when it comes to these types of machines. The Snapper is definitely on the smaller side, making it great for small areas like decks, patios, walk-ways, or just any smaller space. The adjustable handle makes it easy for a person of any size to feel comfortable, and the light weight allows it to be easily maneuvered. It came with a battery and charger, which are definitely on the larger side, but it fit on my counter and plugged right in. About 30 minutes later the battery was a full capacity and ready to go; it couldn't have been easier. Finally, with a press of the trigger, the unit was powered up. I didn't have to add gas, oil, or anything. So, if you are in the market for a shovel and have a small area to clear this winter, I would definitely recommend the Snapper XD 12 in. 82-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Snow Blower Shovel with 2Ah Battery and Rapid Charger.

We don't have any snow yet, but will update this review when we do. it is very well balanced, with all the weight on the bottom, the length is adjustable. Starts very easily, put the red key and pull the trigger. Its sounds and runs like it has plenty of power, with 82 volt battery its pretty powerful and will last while snow blowing for about 45 minutes. It is belt driven, with replaceable scrapper on the bottom. Fast battery charging is about 30 minutes. I plan to use this on our three tier deck on the back of the house and side walks, won't have to lift that heavy gas snow blower any more. Weight without battery is 16 pounds and the battery with battery is 3.28 more pounds. Comes with a 60 month warranty on the snow shovel and 24 months on the battery and charger.

Solidly built, the Snapper blower shovel cleans right down to the sidewalk and blows the snow with authority. It is a heavy piece of equipment for its size. Very quiet in operation. Out of the box, it was very simple to set up for operation: just connect the two-piece tubular shaft, charge the battery and it's ready to run. It blows the snow straight ahead; there is no option to blow to the side. This is a nice supplement to my regular snow blower for use on more narrow sidewalk and front entrance areas. I have had the machine for about a month and have not had enough snow to run it for an extended period to test the actual run time for the 82-volt battery. I'm glad that I bought it.
