Q:Installed using the blue 1 1/4” washer on the drain into the 1 1/2” p-trap, but I have a leak at that joint. Should I have used both the blue 1 1/4” washer in random with the red 1 1/2” washer on the same joint?

Jury-rigged a solution
The new vanity has a bottom drawer which meant the bottom panel was now higher and would not allow the original p-trap to be reinstalled.
I didn’t want to cut a hole in the bottom panel so I searched for a solution and found the Snappy Trap. I was able to use the pieces in the kit to jury-rig the new sink drain. It works and doesn’t leak.
However, I do not think it is code compliant because the height of the water in the p-trap is greater than 4”.

Look VERY carefully at the package sold in stores
The website version claims "Connects to a 1-1/2 in. or 1-1/4 in. sink tailpiece". The store version ONLY connects to 1-1/4 in. I was not able to use it for a 1-1/2 in. Why do you have a different version of the product that is less universal than the original?
Also unlike the kitchen version, this does not come with a tailpiece if your sink doesn't already have it. This is important because HD sells a laundry sink that doesn't have a tailpiece. That's two additional trips to the store for me.

Dear Customer - Thank you for contacting us. Model DK-105 comes with a blue 1 1/4" slip joint washer,and an orange 1 1/2" slip joint washer that allows you to connect to a 1 1/2" or 1 1/4" tailpiece. Exactly what I needed
This was the only part of the sink replacement that was perfect the very first time. It worked so well, I'm buying another SnappyTrap to have on hand, as I'm sure my other bathroom sink is working towards needing replacement, too. SnappyTrap not only allowed flexibility in the undermount sink drain placement but also in the tilt of the sink as my old counter has warped. It replaced an accordion style drain that had been used to accommodate the sink tilt but was filling with nasty debris. This was a greatly upgraded solution and at a great price. I highly recommend it.

Flexible pipe is not flexible
The flex pipe is so ridged, it turned the whole trap assembly till pipe was straight again.

Done in a snap!
This had to be fixed and the price was right. We had a friend install it for us, he touched the drain and it fell into the bucket. We purchased the SnappyTrap because it's the best one for DIY. It has everything we need except the wrench and screwdriver.
The corrosion damaged the threads on the pipe so we couldn't use the part the screws on, a plumber would have to replace that, but we used the adapter with the clamp, and it came with the set!

Perfect setup for imperfect and offset drains
This drain kit is a really useful piece of plumbing for anyone who is plumbing a sink. I purchased this kit as the drainpipe in the wall was one inch off center where it should have been.
It took me less than 30 minutes to install with no leak at all. I would highly recommend this kit.

Fit my very shallow vanity cabinet
I wish I'd known about this product when I first started redoing the plumbing on my bathroom sink. It's a tiny bathroom with a shallow vanity, and the plumbing stump out (the waste drain that comes out of the wall) is old and hard to match PVC pieces to. This got set up in less than an hour, the hardest part was figuring out what pieces were the best fit. It comes with several options depending on how far apart your drain and stump out are vertically and horizontally. Can't recommend enough.

BUY THIS!
Quick, no aggravation, easily go from 1-1/4 sink tailpipe to 1-1/2 PVC waste pipe, with offset. Flexible hose is magic. Also get yourself a "Marvel Adapter" to make threaded connection to the 1-1/2 PVC into wall. Done many DIY jobs, this is fantastic.

Avoided so much headache with this product
We had 2 vanities remade and we had to move the sink on both. The old plumbing had everything welded down so everything was in weird angle. With this product, all I had to do is using my oscillating tool to cut the old pipes and hook it up! This product also has many types of adapters to choose from.
