This was only part of a complete garden soil mix, but it had the three different compost ingredients I was looking for. It blended easily with vermiculite and peat moss. Soil stays moist and has a nice feel. My winter garden is coming along, as seedlings grow stronger each day. In the Spring, I will purchase more of this to expand my container garden and plant summer vegetables.

Make 40 pounds of compost, but if you price 40 pounds of compost it's not nearly that much. In addition to the cost, this had sprouting tiny plants in it, but the killer was it gave me mites. They don't seem to be spider mites, no webbing to speak of. I used sunshine mix #4 with no pests at all for a few months, then I top dressed with this and had mites within 2 weeks. It's good compost, but I would only use it to make tea with so I could avoid pests.
