My bougainvillea leaves are completely gone. The plant is a mass of sticks. Now my orange tree is starting to loose leaves. Do I spray the leafless stems or do I spray the ground
Asked by: Norman
This product is a fungus that the caterpillars ingest so you need to spray the entire plant trying to focus on the leaves (top and bottom sides) as this is where the insets lay their eggs and where the caterpillars start their growth. You want to retreat the plants if you have a lot of rain and I retreat them every 30 days regardless of the weather as I want to ensure that I have a good amount of the product on the leaves at all times. The only real issue that I have seen is making sure that you spray the product when there is no wind otherwise you are not sure about the amount of coverage you are getting. I find spraying either at dusk or early in the morning is the best time as this is when there is little to no wind, but it is always a bit windy here in the summer so I have to find the best times to spray.

Will this kill ASP catepillars?

Will this kill ASP catepillars?
Asked by: mb
Yes -- this product is designed to kill all types of caterpillars as it is a fungus that they ingest which affects there ability to process their food and kills them. Since this is ingested I would assume that it will kill the ASP caterpillars, but you need to make sure that you spray your plants well covering both the tops and especially the bottoms of the leaves of the plant. I would also recommend putting it on your plants about every 30 days throughout the summer to ensure that you have good coverage and the fungus has not been affected by the weather. I try to spray in the early morning or evening when there is little to no wind which will effect your coverage and spraying of the product. Hope this answers your questions.
