        A:  Hello wolffox, The clock weighs 11 lbs. It's always a good idea to secure an object of significant weight to a wall with an anchor. The exception to this is obviously when driving a screw or nail into a wall stud. If no stud is available at the desired location then yes a molly bolt would be a great anchor to use.         5 Stars! I would give more if I could! I only had this clock a few weeks but I love this clock! It’s unique. The colors match my decor perfectly. Looks bigger and better in person. Looks heavy, but is lite and easy to install. My only critique would be that the hands on the clock could have been made a little more sturdy. Other than that, it looks great in my home, works great, runs quiet and I love it!

          The clock has the high impact colors that I was looking for. Was disappointed to discover that the colors are not painted on, but appear to be colored paper adhesive. It cheapens the product, but fortunately you can’t tell unless close enough to touch it.
