Product Overview

Pieris Mountain Snow is more heat tolerant that traditional Pieris japonica. It offers interest in the garden with bronze-red colored new leaves that mature to dark green and pendulous flower buds that appear in fall and persist through the winter, opening in early spring to reveal beautiful ivory white urn-shaped flowers.

  • Colorful evergreen foliage throughout the year and beautiful white flowers in early spring

I live just north of Houston and planted one Mountain Snow Pieris as a test last year. It is planted in a shady area and has survived the heat, Hurricane Harvey, etc. so it seems pretty hardy. It has bloomed more than once. The growth rate is very slow, though.

The growth zone for the Pieris shrub is zones 5 through 9.

We have a flower bed that is shaded until about 1p then has full sun. Would the Mountain Snow Pieris grow well here?
