love in a pot
Southern Patio Michelle terracotta clay planter is a step up from the usual style pots but with the same benefits. I bought two (they were on sale) for two upcoming family birthdays. I planted both with a mix of seasonal blooming flowers and bulbs that should come up next spring. I am very pleased with the way they look and hope that the birthday girls will like them too. Terracotta clay is like a pair of jeans, it goes with everything. The cost with soil, flowers, bulbs, and planters still cost less than fresh cut flowers and will last a lot longer, plus they were made with love. I hope that someone will read this and gift a friend/family member with a living planter.

Gorgeous Quality Terracotta Planter
I purchased 2 of these Michelle pots in the 11.8" size and they are beautifully made. I added my pruners in the photos for size reference. The walls are a good thickness, the drainage hole is a great size and the design is unique from your traditional terracotta pot design. Will purchase more from Southern Patio!

I bought two same size pots for my garden and one is a lot smaller than the other. I found out after I came home so I just kept it but not satisfied with this purchase.

I'm always trying to spruce up my garden with colorful plants and decorative pots. I usually go for more colorful ones but I like the natural textured look of this Terra cotta clay pot with the rope pattern around the top. I planted a heat tolerant tomato variety in this pot since I live in Florida. At almost 12 inches in diameter it is plenty wide to accommodate a full tomato plant and cage, and the clay is much better at holding the moisture in compared to plastic pots. A nice feature is the pre drilled drainage hole to help protect against over watering and root rot.

This is a really lovely planter. Nice and sturdy, but not too heavy for one person to move around easily (at least when it's empty). The design details in the terra cotta add a touch of sophistication. The clay is thick enough that the planter won't chip or crack easily. It's still a little too cold here for outdoor planting, but I'm looking forward to displaying this lovely planter on our patio.

The Southern Patio Michelle Terracotta clay planter is an authentic, handmade, kiln-fired planter that includes a drainage hole--an essential feature for gardening. I really like it's size and design and it will really make a statement nestled among the other planters on garden deck. The clay pot retains moisture much longer than my other plastic-based planters and it's nice to have the drainage hole to prevent overwatering. I would definitely recommend this product for serious gardeners.

Nice heavy pot. Has drain hole which is good for moving as I did a tile mosaic on this pot. The rope edge is nice but I covered it up as I could not mosaic it and make it look nice. This pot doesn't need mosaic-I just did it anyway. This is covered in:
Bright jewel tines and metallic silver, gold and copper HOUSE OF MOSAICS LTD Ibiza Multi Gloss Glass Mosaic Wall Tile and Abolos Metro Galaxy Black Mosaic Glossy Glass with copper beaded chain and black iridized baubles and about 3 cups of black sanded grout. Because the pot is angled and the tiles are perfectly square, I had to adjust the design to shrink some places and expand in others for the changing space space. The design fillers were the black baubles.
